Are you EVIL? A discussion about Murder & Theft in Fallo

Post » Wed Dec 18, 2013 8:20 am

Are you Evil? Are you bad?

Do you steal or pickpocket ? Do you have tips for being a better thief?

Have you ever made a decision in the game that made you feel ashamed? What?

What decisions have you made that could be considered villainous? Why?

Are you murderous? Do you kill needlessly? Why?

Are you mean to any of your followers? Who and Why?

Is there a Faction or NPC that you have hatred for? Why?

Can you think of anything else that you can do or want to discuss that is BAD or EVIL in the Fallout world ?

I wouldn't say I am.

Do you steal or pickpocket ? Do you have tips for being a better thief?

If it fits for my role I might steal things, I don't consider it 'evil' though.

Have you ever made a decision in the game that made you feel ashamed? What?

I once told the Slags I would help them out but I didn't heed the timer for the quest all too well and things turned out pretty badly... I should have taken the importance of the timer into consideration.

What decisions have you made that could be considered villainous? Why?

I once stole a water chip from Necropolis. Poor ghouls.. :(

Are you murderous? Do you kill needlessly? Why?

Not really, though sometimes when I oppose NCR in the Mojave I might just end up killing the lot of them solely for combat.

Are you mean to any of your followers? Who and Why?

I let dogmeat die to a forcefield because I couldn't be bothered to heal him and turn off the forcefields so he could help me out. I don't think he would've stood a chance against the super mutants anyway, Tycho, Ian and Katja all died there and they had way better chances of survival than that mutt did. Even so, I felt bad for him and didn't like my actions.

Is there a Faction or NPC that you have hatred for? Why?

NCR, they're expansionists ruled by a corrupt system which will eventually turn on itself and crumble apart.

Gravedigging, is it evil? I mean, those dead'ers ain't gonna need their stuff anyway, so why should their precious resources just rot along with the body when it can be used to help people who are alive? Why does people even bury the dead without turning their pockets inside out first? It's such a waste to let ammo, chems, currency and sometimes even weapons go to waste. Unless it is something which meant a lot to that person. Like Chance's Knife. I don't like taking that, there's a reason why they buried it along with his body.

Spoiler
I told Chief Hanlon that I will turn him in :(

What decisions have you made that could be considered villainous? Why?

I also stole a chip from Necropolis, after I failed to fix water pump.

Is there a Faction or NPC that you have hatred for? Why?

Many people end "factions" from Washington DC.

Child killing. Before the times of political corectness it was a posibility. In older games you were pretty much [censored] up after becoming child killer. This was imo better way of "moralizing" than making kids immortal. I've never even thought about it though, even after meeting those annoying dip[censored]s from Little Lamplight.

Usually yes. Moreso in Fallout 3 and the originals than in New Vegas though. For some reason, my characters in New Vegas tend to be neutral or good.

Giving the Krivbekneh to Obadiah Blackhall. Then I found Marcella's campsite and discovered she had been murdered. After listening to her act of contrition and death tape, I immediately whipped around back to Blackhall manor and blasted Obediah in his occultic face.

Marcella remains one of the few morally "good" characters in Fallout 3 I actually have a soft spot for and don't just find annoying.

I tend to play slaver characters alot (in fact its one of my favorite character types) so I suppose there's that.

I usually remain neutral in NV and the originals. In F3 I'm mainly very good because there are really no benefits to being evil besides being evil.

In my current NV game I was neutral from the beginning but I've recently been stealing so much that I dropped down to evil.
