They are putrid.

The online coders on this project should feel ashamed of themselves.

Yes. It's annoying every game I play one person has a 4 bar and everyone else is one/two bar. I have 30d and 4u, so I know it's not my connection.

Thats because narrow minded people expect a game to be at the pinnacle of excellence when its first released which will never happen. I for one am happy as hell to know that not having a 50mb connection will allow less punishment because thats what it comes down to these dayz. Alot of people on the top 10 on the demo for example wouldnt die properly when shot....so i switched to the jackel and all my problems were solved. Thats how they were getting ridiculously high killstreaks where as mine sat at a nifty 23 kills without dying. Anything over 30 kills is a connection issue and i dont care what anyone says. But with a multitude of weapons and perks now on offer i can see it being the case now

Imma give the game a month b4 i start trolling on the conec issues. It is annoying tho when i can unload 3 rounds of sniper ammo straight to the dome of a squatter and he doesn't go down until a lil after the 3rd round. Be fixed soon enough i think

Everyone needs to stop their biching. Let Crytek hear out the issues and resolve them. A game is never released perfect I don't care what anyone says. there is no way to test out a lot of things without it being live. so therefore keep posting your input and let them work it out.

Everything about this game is great except for the connection issues.. I can't play online without being disconnected or getting into a lobby that never actually starts a game. Give em time to fix it. its only day 2... chill..

That's not completely true. Yes a lot of titles have issues when they're released. Glitches, connection issues, bugs etc. But you have to agree that the connection issue in Crysis 2 is extreme. Ever tried to fire of a hologram with a one-bar-connection? You'll see that thing jumping across the screen. You get dropped long after turning a corner. Or the people you're shooting all of a sudden are killed while you're in the middle of the reloading process and you get the kill.

Connection issues are a common thing with popular games, but mostly it's about milliseconds delay. Here it's litterally seconds.

But maybe they'll fix something on the official releasedate. I hope so, because that's my only complaint about this game. I'm loving it.

Halo 3

The day after release had over 1 million players on at the same time, and the game worked fine. Halo reach was also the same.

Modern Warfare 2, besides the balance issues, the connections worked fine, black ops is didn't have the same following though.

I dont think there is any reason for all these new games to have these problems. Sure alot of the console versions use P2P for gaming, but if bungie and infinity ward can make the game work really well without dedicated servers there is no reason other developers can't.

Graphics have nothing to do with the lag online, all the packets that get sent are where each player is in relation to another, and movable objects. The only reason graphics are lowed for multiplayer is the help keep a stable framerate while however many people are running around the map.

Gusy, Rainbow Six: Vegas and R6 V2 pretty much solved the problem by bringing back a ''Find game'' browser, since it allows us to find the best game with the best connectivity.

I don't see why a company such as Crytech and a game such as Crysis 2 can't actually offer a decent Matchmaking from day one. Simply kick people in yellow and just keep people in the green; simple. Otherwise, I really don't know why I would play...

Cant compare Halo 2, 3 or reach since bungie has a lot of time to fix Connection problems since Halo 2. I personally think Halo Reach has the best matchmaking and connection so far in 360. Crysis 2 just need some time to fix this errors is a new release for xbox 360.

The Halo series did play smoothly when it came to matchmaking, however, 'bullet lag' issues were masked by the shields. If it only took around 3 to 4 non-headshot bullets to kill someone in Halo then the amount of complaints about lag would have been a lot more significant. In sniper and swat game types it was a lot easier to tell if another player had a latency advantage.

Why would I wait a month? If Crytek sees people complaining and a lot of people are dissatisfied then they will do something about it. If nobody said anything they would think it's fine. We all love this game, but the servers need tweaked or something. I have a 1.9 K/D and thats with my bullets doing literally nothing most of the time.
