Im putting alot of focus on New Vegas as the stories of the NCR and Legion might be active in the next game. I gotta go prepared in the next game so i dont side with the wrong ones.

Aw man I think I'm as itching to get my hands on a new fallout games as much as the next guy but I think I'd prefer Bethesda to put Fallout 4 on the next generation of consoles. The only thing that keeps me patient is the thought of playing a new Fallout game with graphics much better than those in Skyrim, a huge world with a lot more NPCs and busy, alive cities with more interactable NPCs, finely detailed weapons, options everywhere.

I hope that after Bethesda makes Fallout 4 that they'll let Obsidian try their hand at another Fallout game. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas had different kinds of feels to them and I really like both. Bethesda is awesome at exploring and such, Obsidian at making awesome quests and factions.

No, I am not antsy for F4.

How am I biding my time? Playing F1, F2, and FT on my comp. F3 and FNV on my 360.

Also waiting on a comp my friend is building me for Diablo III that will be able to play F3 and FNV on max, as well as Skyrim om High-Max [giddy] Already looking at mods and they feel like brand new games. [/giddy]

I'm really worried about the next Fallout. I'm worried that Todd's going to hate New Vegas and go with his own vision which means more of Fallout 3 with the good stuff that Skyrim did. That's not completely bad but it's not the direction that should be taken.

No, I will no longer board the hype train.

I'm sure Fallout 4 will be a good game. Not necessarily a good Fallout game, but a good game nonetheless.

I am biding my time with the Witcher 2 for 360. Also awaiting the 360 release of Dishonored and Minecraft. Kingdoms of Amalur is also on my radar for the future, as is Wasteland 2.

They should just work together, DC really felt like a wasteland, while New Vegas, was more like a desert. Reason being of course couse House saved Vegas so it makes sense lore wise.

And it's been two hundred years which makes DC not make sense.

How much progress was made when humans were still in the "dark ages", not much, just like in DC.
If there is one band of uneducated wastelanders chances are they ain't going to progress.
I took it that most of DC was uneducated - the only ones being so much so were those in built up areas like Rivet City and Megaton then there's the Lyon's Brotherhood, but primiarly they aren't there to rebuild everything.

Last I checked a desert is a wasteland. Just wanted to point that out.

The "Dark Ages" is a misnomer because progress was made during that time, far more than given credit.

My biggest problems with Fallout 3's setting: 1) There are no living trees or plants out side of Oasis and later Point Lookout and no agriculture anywhere in DC. I don't care how uneducated the people are or how much radiation is around, that doesn't stop trees and plants from growing.

2) It is the capital of the United States, after a nuclear war like the Great War. DC should have been nothing but cinders, a giant whole in the ground.

3) There are smart people like James and other that can do facial surgury, yet they can't figure out how to farm plants? People in the core region had alot worse to deal with and they managed to figure out basic agriculture.

Ok, a pre war desert :D happy?

I see it as it does make sense, but it may be a little over exaggerating (im not sure if i put the right word in there).

What made even less sense was that there was still food on the shelves in the supermarket.

Ive mostly been focusing on Star Trek Online to pass the time. I have how ever been in the mood for pulling out FO3 and playing it some more, looks a hell of a lot better after the enviromental mods I put on it.

As far as getting antsy for Fallout 4, I cant say considering theres no information on where it will take place. Odds are I will still get it but location is what really grabs my interest.

This is how I see it personally.

1. Radiation wouldnt stop plants from growning considering plants are constantly bombarded by radiation from our sun. So I would expect new plants growing, especially growing up around the dead tree trunks.

2. Considering the bombs Ive seen I would have to say the nukes that China was launching and dropping was very low yield simmilar to what the US dropped on Japan twice. The buildings constructed out of stronger materials were still standing in one piece compared to weaker construction buildings. This is what I think happened is that the low yield nuclear weapons could only damage or wipe out buildings with a direct hit and throw radioactive particles up into the atmosphere but not erase all buildings from exsistance.

3. Dr. Li in Fallout 3 was working on growing fresh fruits and veggies as well as filtering the water out, in her lab on Rivet City.

Besides that, I have to say what I really liked most about FO3 was the amount of exploring that could be had in downtown DC. I kind of wished we could have had something simmilar in Vegas even if it was a bunch of buildings boarded up. It would still have been nice to wander down the streets of abandoned buildings in ruins like in downtown DC.

I wouldn't expect any sort of announcement any sooner than the VGA Awards in December. After that I will start getting "antsy."

I wouldn't rule out E3, but if it doesn't show up there, it won't come before the VGA's.

gaming wise I've been playing NV again, and just played the Diablo III beta. I'll be looking to get Deus Ex Human Revolution and The Witcher 2 once I'm done with the current NV playthrough.

For me I am playing all of the old fallout games like Fallout and Fallout 2, Fallout tactics, Fallout BoS, and Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. I am also going to be playing Max Payne 3 and whatever call of duty they are coming out with.
