Are you getting antsy for Fallout 4? And how are you biding

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 11:04 am

Am I getting antsy is an understatement. I'm going crazy!! I can't wait!! I'm really hoping its going to be like fallout 3, but with NV's ADS, unique weapon skins, and companion wheel. And a larger wasteland in general would be nice!! For right now though Skyrim will hold me over. Don't get me wrong I love Skyrim and I'm looking forward to DLC, but it will always be second to Fallout 3. Liked NV, but it just wasn't the same. Knowing Bethesda I won't be disappointed. Hoping for news soon!!!

More like "afraid to see what is going to become of it." Seeing what they did with skyrim doesn't give me hope that a fallout 4 made by beth is going to be anything more then another hiking simulator, with no branching complex story and quests and no C&C or shades of grey.

But seriously, I can't wait until Fallout 4

I have plenty to hold me over, and while I'm looking forward to it, excitement won't ramp (and potential preorder from said excitement) until info and trailers are released, let alone a formal announcement. I expect it to be next gen, as its waning this cycle.

Im a huge TES fan and have been savoring my epic no-fast travel, pure mage playthrough. Taking a break 246 hours in, now playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

Recently completed Deus Ex: Human Revolution and my first long run of Fallout 3. Loved it.
Skyrim is an ongoing dessert I'm enjoying deeply and thoroughly. I don't want it to end. I won't 'beat' it until all dlc expansions are out and that's that :P.

However, after KoA...which is beginning to find its stride with me, I'm going to be playing Fallout: New Vegas (my first go round with all dlc) and Dark souls. I have Dark Souls, and I'm pumped to play it, but when I do, it will receive my full focus and attention. Think I'm going to want a break from fantasy (other than Skyrim), so NV it is.

I don't mind if Fallout 4 is more of an open-world sandbox style like in Fallout 3 as long as The quests and factions are not railroaded and they take expand on the additions FONV made to the combat and skill systems. I liked NV and the originals design goals with the quests and stuff, but just exploring the wastes can be fun too if BGS does it right.

I will be biding my time with Wasteland 2..

Yeah. The prospect of Wasteland 2 has made every sad, failed attempt at an RPG by modern developers look wilting and impotent in my mind. Before the bum-rush success of all these great Kickstarter projects my feelings on any new Bethesda-led Fallout material was this:

:sadvaultboy:

But now when the topic of Fallout 4 comes up I'm just like:

And then I think about WL2 and I'm like:

:disguise:

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh!

I've been playng F3 and NV a lot recently to tide me over..

I am actually really amped to hear any news about Mistborn: Birthright.
Any news at all really. All I know is that it's gonna be an RPG set a few hundred years before the books take place and is being penned by the book series' author and it is being made by Little Orbit, who seem to have only just formed and only made a couple of app based and wii games. Suposedly someone from BIS is working there, but I cant find any info out as to who.

Its a great book series, so I hope they dont' svck at making games.

I am currently spending a lot of time playing Dark Age of Camelot, because Realm v. Realm v. Realm warfare is rather fun... too bad it was bought be EA like 6-7 yeas ago and then shoved in a closet somewhere to stagnate. These days I hate EA as much as Activision and Ubisoft. Going to play some Alpha Protocol and more FONV, of course.

Oh god yes. I'm itching for the slightest amount of news on FO4.. It's hard to have patience when the want is too great.
I just hope we get some information this year.. and I pray that we wont have to wait for the game later than 2013.. I know, hopeful thinking.

What I'm doing to bide my time is play some BF3, FO3 and NV, and some other games here and there but thats only to hold me over until Minecraft for the Xbox, and from there Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite, and from there Fallout 4. Such a long list but I get bored very fast. I doubt I'll have trouble waiting it out when Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite are released though.

Yeah. Really want a F4 announcement!

Passing the time by replaying New Vegas trying to get all achievements. I got Witcher 2 recently so I have that to play and Dragons Dogma is out in a few weeks.

I really want that they are going to say that they are making a new Fallout game. I really enjoyed all Fallout games. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were very good in my opinion. So we had a new Elder Scrolls game, now it's time for a new Fallout game if you ask me.

I would LOVE a new Fallout game....but to be honest, I'd rather wait. I'm still getting some fun out of 3 and New Vegas. I'm anxious for the next Fallout announcement, because if Bethesda tries to go in any direction like they did with Skyrim I might just slip into a depression. If anything I would like the next Fallout title to be developed by Obsidian, the work they put into New Vegas was great ( albeit very glitchy in the beginning) I love the depth and multiple paths one can take on almost any quest. And, IMO Obsidian has much better writers than Bethesda.

Just waiting really. Good things take their time. Good companies take their time making good things. Bad companies rush their products and have day1 dlc.

Im not really antsy. If I need a fix I can load up Vegas, Total war or Freelancer. What I am slightly miffed about however is the lack of really good storydriven Mods for Vegas. But beggers cant be choosers and I havent done crap to start anything myself. So... Ill wait for FO4 and try my hand at modding then.

Im starting to jones for Fallout 4. Me and my wife are both going through the Fallout 3 and FNV w/ DLC's again to try and calm the addiction, as there is no Med-X in real life. If this doesnt work I may take up drinking and smack her around...or maybe learn to knit...

Need to get your Fallout Fix? I can help you out with that. You can buy Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics really cheap now :fallout:

I'm a little antsy. Still playing and enjoying New Vegas though, so it's not like I'm jonesing, but I am curious about what's going on with the next game. Just general concepts/ideas, like area/setting and maybe concept art would be cool. I kinda think Beth will focus their E3 appearance on Skyrim DLC though; I'd imagine any Fallout announcement(s) to come later.
