Darn.I cant frigging play Morrowind.Everytime It loads after the "Bethesda" window pops up and says something like:"Chunk size is too big"And some other problems start to pop up.And when I say ok to every one of them the game crashes.

Will Morrowind run on windows 7?

Yes, but at least on my new laptop, it runs like crap. I don't have the best GPU out there, but games like Portal and Mass Effect run fine, while Morrowind is a stutterfest even on relatively low settings.

I play Oblivion on my daily commute to and from work. I do not, however play it intensively. When i'm sitting there for 40 minutes im usually dungeon crawling or something.

So in a sense, im not really playing it at all.

I'm not playing Oblivion again.... I'm playing Nehrim FOR Oblivion, which is much more polished and complete and awesome. I'll be playing it a while, it's pretty big.

Thanks.

I assume you installed the expansions as well? That's an error that comes from installing them in the incorrect order. All you have to do is reinstall them: Morrowind first, Tribunal second, Bloodmoon third. You could also try just reinstalling Bloodmoon, that fixed the error for me once.

I like to play games totally on one play through. I make a character and then I like to DO EVERYTHING with that character. Thus after playing the game one for 200+ hours I'm done it...I've walked every inch of it, I've talked to everyone, and thus there is not mystery to the game left. I can't reply that game I will no longer enjoy the game really if I picked it up again.

That’s why I always hold out hope for a game that has a certain level of emergent game play where the game grows and changes as I play it. I’m not saying TES should do that or not do that but it is the ONLY example of a game I might get anything out of playing again.

Yeah, Oblivion and Fallout 3 are two games that are never uninstalled from my machine. Oblivion disk is always sitting in one of my DVD drives. I will play it fairly often with mods until Skyrim. Though right now I am currently playing Dead Space 2.

Yup, going through another replay of Oblivion. Also playing Morrowind too.

I'm hoping to beat all of the Elder Scrolls (the main 4, none of the side games) before Skyrim comes out. I'm a little bit into Arena and Daggerfall, both increasingly frustrating, but fun.

I loaded up Morrowind, played 5 minutes and unistalled it, then loaded up Oblivion and played one dungeon and stopped. I still have the witcher and New Vegas to finish.

I am, but not because of Skyrim. I just built a new computer (for Skyrim), so I can now play Oblivion with everything turned all the way up for the first time. Plus, I never bothered to do any of the fighter's guild quests for some reason. So I'm doing that now. Then I'll try to find my way back to New Vegas, but that's on my Xbox, and I really want to play with my new PC. I wonder if my wife will let me buy it again ....

I can't vote because I've never really stopped playing Oblivion. I may take a few month long hiatuses but I'm still playing it. I just recently beat the shivering isles expansion. Now I'm working on Knights of the nine.

Tried to but the part of my brain that was forgiving all the shonky animations and other crap which reminds me that its just not Skyrim, has ceased to allow my suspension of disbelief. No Sir, we cant go back.

No. I won't replay Oblivion. At least not for the sake of tapping into my Skyrim Hype. In fact I'll avoid games similar to Skyrim like the plague, as playing them will just make me pick on everything they are doing wrong and diminish my own experience simply because "they are not The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim." I'll play different games, such as party-based RPGs, or FPSs and RTSs and the like. Unfortunately this is one of the first times in history I've got so bloody excited about a game that's so far from being released. Personally I'd really want to forget about its development and even existence and live in joyful bliss until its release.

Oblivion is in a league of its own due to what mods have done to it. I wouldn't bother going back to play vanilla Oblivion, but with mods I've never stopped.

Didn't vote, because though I did reinstall Oblivion, and started up a new character, I pretty much stopped after an hour, and probably won't go back.
