I actually will be trying to avoid anything and everything concerning Skyrim once they release information.
I might drop in to give opinions here or there on the forums, but beyond seeing a few screenshots, I would rather know nothing about the game. I loved the feeling I got playing MW when I knew
absolutely nothing about the game prior to playing it. Granted, I already know plenty about TES now so it will never be that fresh again, but I want to get as close to that feeling as I can.
The first time I walk into Balmora... whoa!
viewing the cantons of Vivec? Climbing Red Mountain?
Becoming a werewolf?
All of these things were just incredible when experienced in game for the first time, and I want to feel that way again. I knew too much about OB before playing it (granted it wasn't as good as MW anyway) and I feel that it somewhat detracted from the wonder and amazement of it all. I had already seen the emperor walk through my cell before I played the game. I already knew what white gold tower looked like. I already knew what a Dremora Lord / Daedric armor looked like. It wasn't as special when I actually got to see it all first hand.
So no, I will not be buying the GI magazine.....
...actually, maybe I'll buy it, but not read it until I've finished the game (that's like 10 months of leaving a magazine on a shelf, though, lol.)
