Are you going to buy the Game Informer Magazine that has Sky

Post » Thu Sep 03, 2009 2:32 pm

I have quit buying game magazines along time ago. I think the last one I bought was Game Informer because of Oblvion. So I think I will by January's (or is it February?) edtion just for Skyrim and that's it. So I am curious who else is like me. I guess if you have a subscribtion for it, it's moot because you will have it no matter what, but for those who don't buy regularly, will you get this issue?

I hoping some one somewhere will be evil and post scans of it, if not Ill beg my friend to do it for me. Mainly cuz I'm cheap and don't feel like spending a ton of money on a magazine.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but is the GI mag available in Europe or is it a US mag only?

I don't need to buy it because I'm a subscriber. It's the February edition btw, the January edition already came out and it was Tomb Raider... Although the last four pages had a very descriptive history of every TES game all the way from Arena to Oblivion (also was a big hint that Skyrim would be confirmed soon).

I also have been subscribed to Game Informer for a while now though I'm not sure if my subscription is up. I probably should check into that.

Meh, gaming magazines have become irrelevant to me because of the Internet.

That is true, but it was something special, to be holding the Oblvion cover of GI in my hands that day. I can't explain it, I was more giddy holding it in my hands than reading it online. Something special actually holding something, and in this case Skyrim in my very old hands. I guess it's just me.

It's weird, I think I have three subscriptions now -- two at work and one at home. Wasn't planned that way, but it's actually nice. Sometimes if there's a pic of me in the magazine, I can send it to my grandma. Or just let family know what's going on with the games we're releasing.

I can't wait to see the Skyrim story

I use to get a couple gaming magazines, but then I signed up for those same companies emails and got the exact same articles and information for free online BEFORE I even got the magazine.

Magazines are really not worth it. I'm sure I can find the same information online, for free.

Although I do kind of miss getting the magazine. It was kind of exciting when I would get one. It just wasn't worth the money.

Not sure if Game Informer is available in Finland, but I'm currently trying to find out if it is - and if it is, I'm so buying the issue with Skyrim. :)

I subscribed in-store at Game Stop. I tried to buy it online at first but faced the same problem as you.

Where's the maybe option?

I'd buy it if it has some nice preview screenshots and a more or less comprehensive description of the gameplay and game-mechanics we can expect to get.
