Are you going to be good, or bad?

Post » Fri Jul 08, 2011 8:09 pm

Well, I plan on playing a Bosmeri Ranger on my first play through... But, I truly hope that there is an Assassin's Faction, or if the Dark Brotherhood spins that way, that resembles the mentality of the brothers from the Boondock Saints... I want to kill for the general well-being of the masses... And as for the thieves guild, their stealing usually has a good motive behind it : /... But, if I can incorporate the Boondock Saints mentality, I will be a very nice, kind Bosmer who does the deeds that truly need to be done...

Dude, put a warning next time you link TV Tropes, that site is dangerous. I know people who have gone there and have never returned

Haha anyway, being stupidly evil has its moments, but I'm going to try for my evil character to be the crafty, manipulative kind.

yeah tv tropes is freaking scary, ive had wiki walks that i intented to last a couple of minutes go on for like 3 hours, so more of a trek than a walk  but on topic im probably not going to go into the game thinking whether to be good or evil, i will just make the decision that come naturally and that i would actually make.

Neither. My character will do as he sees right. The right thing to do for his own benefit, not anyone elses. Be it wealth, power, or a moral high.

Never did like Good and Evil characters. Very boring. Perhaps I'd do the occasional one now and then, but they never last long.

Exactly...There's nothing wrong with a little command spell, lead to a cliff, paralyzed and thrown over, just as the spell wares off. That's my 'Wheel of Misfortune' for TES.

I always play as a Paladin type character, but unfortunately it seems I won't be able to mix restoration and support spells with my shield/sword. Of course I'm always perfectly good on every playthrough, with maybe the exception some theft.

I once saw someone on TV tropes talking about their self-insert Sonic fanfiction. That cured me of my addiction for quite a while.

Always play as a hero on my first playthrough. And an evil character with my second playthrough.

I usually play like Anton Chigurh in the film No Country for Old Men: Only looking out for myself, and killing anyone that inconveniences me.

Though, in my latest playthrough of Fallout 3 I had Sergeant RL-3 as a companion and it was quite enjoyable so who knows.

I always play the Thief as a "Neutral-Evil" guy.....who at the end turns out to be a Good guy at heart.

Sort of like Han Solo

Neutral character that becomes Good. So I choose Good. Being good feels the best in the end. :)

That's a pretty bold statement. I'm surprised that didn't get censored...

Usually I'm neutral/Opportunist leaning towards evil but killing everybody isn't fun and there are better more efficient ways of getting ahead in the world that doesn't involve killing. :chaos:

It wouldn't really be appropriate for me to vote in the poll. I intend to play a whole load of different characters, some good, some bad, some very bad. I will say that my first character will probably be slightly more inclined to neutral.

Edit: Ah heck, I'll vote neutral. ;)

I'm not gonna be good, neutral, or bad I'm just gonna be me.

I'll make decisions based on how I'm feeling at the time, and how well/not well I like the people the decisions affect.

And are the majority of those things Good, Evil, or in the middleground?

As for me, I'm a justice-fan. Check my sig....

First character will be neutral (though, leaning to "good") warrior. Second character will be good mage. Third character will be a treacherous thief.

Somewhat akin to the morality of the protagonist in a Clint Eastwood western. WIth a tendancy to lean toward good, but doing what is necessary...
