Are you going to play with a keyboard & mouse or a gamep

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 11:36 am

Just curious how many of you are going to play the game with the keyboard and mouse or the gamepad on PC?

This isn't a "which is better?" thread. I'm just curious is all.

I'll probably play with the keyboard and mouse. I played Fallout 3 and New Vegas with K&M, and I prefer to play FPS games with K&M because I'm much more accurate with a mouse. I played Skyrim with the gamepad, because the menus felt like they were designed for a controller, but it wasn't a shooter so I had no problem with that.

I plan on playing with a gamepad, actually an Xbox One controller, on my PC.

Keyboard & Mouse. I like my aiming quick and snappy in first person mode and I'm just awful at doing it with thumb sticks, makes me feel like I'm the town drunk.

I don't play unless it's with a keyboard and mouse.

Keyboard and mouse. I've literally never touched a controller in my entire life.

Keyboard and mouse most likely, although I definitely want to pick up the Steam Controller at some point when that launches. I may not use it for Fallout 4, but I can definitely see myself using it for other things.

I'm not one of those PC elitists who refuses to use a controller, ever, but when it comes to first-person games, you'll have to pry my mouse from me with a crowbar.

Mine's a bit of a hybrid. I play with a Razer Orbweaver and a mouse. I'll be swapping the Orbweaver to 1/2 of the new 'Grifta' coming out. It's essentially a detachable/breakable controller that you can use combined or as a single unit.

Essentially meaning, left hand will be thumb stick with buttons around it, right hand will be a mouse (Roccat Tyon)

Well if I were to play the pc version I'd pick keyboard and mouse, tho Im just as comfortable with a controller, ya could say Im ambicontroldextrious, so I don't mind that Im playing a console version this time around.

For me it's keyboard and mouse. I never could get the hang of controllers, when I use one outside of racing or sport games, I just feel crippled.

Do you get the same accuracy with controllers as with Kb&M in FPS games? Had a discussion with a friend once about that, but we never came to a conclusion.

I would like to use my dual shock 4 but sadly I just can't aim as well as I used to before switching to PC. While I do like the convenience, I rather have the best aim I can. Who knows, I may use both depending on what I am doing, but I doubt this.

Imo M&Kb is much much more precise in an fps. My shooting skills on PC vs console are much better.

But when playing slow Single player RPG's like fallout i prefer the controller for convenience sake.

Although I have a controller for my PC (for conole-y/action-y/etc games like Bastion, or any car-racing things), I will be using K+M for Fallout 4.

Because I am completely unable to FPS using a controller.

(Even if I could FPS with a controller, I'd still probably use K+M wherever possible. Just seems more accurate. But it would be nice to have been able to play any of those console-only shooter titles. Resistance, Killzone, Gears, Halo.... Uncharted is 3rd person, but it's aiming was still pretty FPS-ish when I tried the demo. /sigh)

(My mouse is also a trackball)

If I can play with both I will do so. Nothing beats a mouse with a sniper rifle.

A pad, I only use mouse and keyboard when there is no possibility to play a game in good conditions with a pad.

Might sound crazy to use it for gaming, but somewhere along the way I got hooked on the Logitech wireless trackball mouse + Razer Nostromo keypad (or numpad). Tried various gaming mice, but I think I'm too accustomed to the shape of the trackball and using my thumb on the little ball for precise aiming.

Also tried a controller, but it hurt like hell after an hour or so - I seem to have lost whatever finger muscles I used to possess back when I committed the Konami code to memory as a kid.

EDIT: Wow, I thought I was the only weirdo using a trackball. One of us!
