I've played many MMOs over the years, and I learned a long time ago to think up unusual names, and to have alternates in case those are taken too. Most of my characters' names are from Arabic or Kabbalah, they sound great to me, and only incredibly rarely are they taken, in fact I can recall that happening precisely once out of hundreds of characters made.

I mean sure ;if you care not for appearance.. but I tested it during beta with a name I can confidently say no one would use ..when you grab a name,delete and fast recreate the same the name is taken.

So if your intention is to recreate it with the right looks you might have a problem and ruin your own chance at getting the name you want

Gunna make my first character the way I want, then placeholder a few names maybe. It helps to be thorough and I have a good idea on the names/characters I will make alts for at one point

Generally you don't name grab then immediately delete and make again, you grab the names you want, play one, then sit on the rest for a few months or so when character creation dies down considerably then delete and re-create, typically on off hours when there isn't as much traffic. It's a pretty typical strategy for MMO launches.

I'm gonna grab a couple of the lore-friendly Bosmer names I want asap, as Bosmer don't have family names, so getting unique names with them is a bit trickier

Since this game apparently supports complex names with spaces and some punctuation, I'm not going to worry about it, and assume that I will be able to make an acceptable variant of any name I decide on.

I'll grab my name's that don't belong to the first character I'm making, just in case.

Not too worried since we can have first and last names or even middle name if needed don't think character names will be a issue, will take my time and make nice looking character!

Yes. I got my list of 8 names ready, I'll take them ASAP, then re-do the characters properly.

No the first/second/additional/symbol name options we have these days makes doing such things a thing of the past, thankfully .

im very good with names if I cant find one I like ill just make one up that I like and of course fits with the lore.
