Are you happy with Crytek's Demo decision?

Not really no, that cheque from Microsoft for exclusive marketing must have been worth some serious bank to risk less buzz on the other 2 platforms.

It doesn't affect me. I only have a PC so I wont be able to play the demo but at the same time I'm not going to cry and whine about it.

I'm still going to buy it and I still think I will have a ton of fun with it.

I will only buy if it’s not a console Port

I am about 90% certain after this demo release on single platform its a console port with the crysis name glue to it to cash in on the name and deliver a substandard product

I don’t see a reason why they wouldn’t release this demo on all three PC/xbox/ps3

The only reasons i can fathom #1 they are trying to hide from the pc community it’s a port

#2 Microsoft paid them a Truck Ton of $$$

but they would have to know the backlash releasing a console exclusive to the hardest core shooter on pc would cause

I tend to believe they are releasing a port they are smart enough to know the backlash this demo would have had and money from Microsoft wouldn’t be worth that so its gotta be a console port

I've moved this to Feedback & Support.

Guys, i can understand the frustration that a lot of you must be feeling about this but i'll ask that you please try and keep your replies civil.

All i can say is that it's just 60 days before full release and we've got tonnes of info/media coming in that time and soon everyone shall be able to play :)

HELL NO!

If a Demo is not similarily released for the PC shortly after this announcement, I am waiting for pc reviews/not buying at all.

Sorry Crytek, it was nice doing business with ya for the last 7 years, but you obviously don't give a crap and cant see how badly EA is throwing this company down the ****.

I'm with you on this one, Talon. I've tried to be patient, and tried to convince others to do the same. Yet, this has got to be the last stand for most of our beliefs and mine. The Crytek we knew is gone, this new Crytek is going to have some trouble shortly after this. I still have faith in you Crytek, but its shaking. Pls.

Because of this, I will give Crytek/EA until February 21st, the day before KZ3 releases. If they do not impress me, they can kiss another sixty bucks goodbye. I'll instead give it to GG for KZ3, seeing as their only fanbase is on PS3, and it is much easier to impress that way.

Unless they release a tech test on PC and PS3, I'm sure they'll lose at least of fifth of their original pre-orders and potential customers. In short, EA: learn some better marketing skills. M$ will not make up for the money you will lose.

Whats wrong with their Demo decision? So what if Xbox gets it first. They get an early version of the game to play around with while PC and PS3 will get a version later on which will be revamped (if they decide to have a demo on PS3 and PC).

I was unhappy about it being ported to consoles.
Unhappy about mp being limited to 6 vs 6.
Unhappy about no vehicles and "prone" being removed.
Still, I was willing to give this evolutionary step backwards of a game, one more shot. Well, I'm fed up! I guess I'll just keep playing the original multiplayer until some other company has the "balls" to put out what every Crysis fan was waiting for: a pc only, fps monster of a game, with high end graphics that you can play in a 20 vs 20 server.

I have all plattforms (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC). :) But since the PS3 is stronger and it will be 3D with the PS3 version of Crysis 2 I really want to check out how Crysis 2 will be on the PS3. I just pre-ordered the PS3 version of the nano edition. So I hope there will be a beta to all plattforms.

Im gonna buy the game to PS3 and PC because both of them are stronger than the Xbox 360.

I'm not raging so hard that I'm going to cancel my pre-order or anything, heck, I'm not raging period. I just find it annoying that they release it only for the 360 and have all the tech demos etc just for the 360. Is it too hard to show atleast one whole video demonstrating PC graphics, physics, etc? Or maybe the PS3 too? Honestly, this has really been taking a hit on your image, but I haven't lost hope yet. Being that the X360 MP demo ends February 4th, maybe you're just releasing the demos one at a time, I don't know. But this has annoyed me. No, I'm not happy with their demo decision and I won't be. They could have at least told us if they're making a PS3/PC demo, or atleast posted here on the forums, or atleast told us that they cared even in the slightest. But no. They're just your run of the mill giant gaming corporation. Who cares about the player, as long as you got the money, right? *eyeroll*

But comon, you don't have to cancels your pre-orders because the Demo is XBOX 360 exclusive

Nobody is cancelling because of the demo. People are cancelling because there is a complete lack of information for the PC and PS3 versions and it's only two months off. This is not a good sign. Get it right, fools.

@CryAdam As per your request

Hey dude!

Seeing that no one in the EA camp on twitter seems to have the balls nor the decency to reply to our plight I thougt I'd ask here and see how far I get.

Please can you entertain us, the low life pc gamers as why this xbox exclusive nonsense is where it is? I mean judging from this forum and twitter pages we can clearly see that EA and Crytek have pissed off ALOT of PC gamers with their xbox only bubble. I think you guys owe an explanation to the legit PC fans of Crytek why we're being shafted? So I thought I'd give you a fair chance to explain this ludicrous action of XBOX exclisuve of all plaforms before I make up my mind about this debacle.

EARGERLY awaiting your reply...

Sincerely
Moerse pissed off PC Gamer.

Don't like how Crytek shafted it's main platform for 360. But it did help my friends get into the game.

Not to flame you or anything, but you are totally wrong there. The 360 is much stronger then the PS3 when it comes to multiplatform-games, every single release (except FF) has had better FPS, graphics and such on 360 then 360, and often by quite a bit. The 360 is easy to code for, just port the PC-version and change controls, while the PS3 i2 "special" and needs "special treatment" while coding, making it hard and expensive. Btw, the 360 got more GPU (graphics power) and Ps3 got Cpu, we all know what matters when it comes to gaming ;)

If you are going to play on Ps3 with 3D enabled, you should really expect quite a de-grade when it comes to graphics. The hardware is really limited and to support 3D the graphics and fps goes out the window in every game (this gen-consoles are to old).
I would suggest you get decent PC for 3D gaming, that way you can keep decent grapchis and avoid framedrop while playing ;)

OnT:
Not really, all platforms deserves a chance to test the game.
That said, Killzone 3 for PS3 will have better graphics and such, hence a demo would only hurt sales.
For PS, well there are always ways to find out... (review, gameplay videos, system requirements) and playing Crysis 1. That said, a demo for Pc would probably not be a bad thing.
Really, 360 needs a demo too. What we got now is a beta in the words fullest meaning, full with lag etc. If the final game is anything like it I won't get it since it is Cod mixed with Halo + lag at the moment. But I'll wait and see what the future holds :)

Wow it's a lot of hate from the PC crowd, i'm a hardcoe PC gamer and i find this news good, as the 360 gets a piece of the pie. And probably why the MP demo is x360 exclusive, is because of LIVE. It's the biggest online community out there, they will get more feedback, i tried it on my x360 and it rocks, truly a hardcoe game for professorial gaming. I'm even think about buying it on x360 as well as PC.

And as the admin said at page (8) 60days before the release we are going to get hit in the face with even more awesome footage of PC and PS3 as well!

Thank you crytek for a wonderful product.

PS. the mods for this is going to be the SHI7!

This topic is full of crybabies. I know I only have 1 post, but everyone here fails to neglect that XBOX OWNERS PAY TO PLAY ONLINE! Sorry PS3, free online since release says hi. And PC shouldnt be able to complain at all, seeing as how they got the first Crysis exlusive well, forever.

I don't understand the complaining, I have a PS3 and 360 and play the PS3 way more, yet no release of the demo dosent phase me. Either way Crytek is going to earn more money to continue releasing great games so unless anyone can find a viable reason to complain, this topic was for nothing.
