Are you happy with the Remastered Edition?

I'll say now for the record that I haven't got this yet, I may do in the future, but in any case I'm curious as to what the community thinks.

I've never played Skyrim, let alone an RPG. I can't wait to dive in to this massive game. Plus mods? Icing on the cake. This game will be limitless.

Haven't played it yet, so I can't say if I'm happy about it as a unit. I am glad they decided to put it out though, as I will probably be satisfied with the new graphics and won't bother downloading any graphics mods. Besides, it's free for PC so for me it's a win win.

A free upgrade to a great game? Why wouldn't I be happy with it? Now, having put more hours than I can count into the original, I'm not exactly stoked, but there is definitely nothing to be unhappy about.

It's currently downloaded onto my PC but can't play it until it unlocks. From the vids I've seen I am more than happy. I already loved the original one and this can only get better. Can't wait until tomorrow!

I won't download my PC version of the remaster until sometime next year. But knowing that it is 64-bit and DirectX11 makes me very happy. I would gladly have paid full price for it.

I can't vote. I voted yes, I bought it, console, Xbox One for me, but do I enjoy it? I can't say. Never tired it. For all we know it can be a bug fest and we can't play it. So then of course the answer will be NO! Here is hoping everyone gets to play right out the gates with no problems at all. :)

I bought Skyrim earlier this year on PC for only $4.99 (during the winter sale) and recently the DLC bundle for around $8. So I'd say its a pretty good deal to get the game for free. I used to play on the xbox 360 and it is a huge improvement especially with mods. I'm looking forward to play the special edition and hope it has bug fixes.

I have it downloaded on my PC, but haven't played it yet. I plan on buying the Xbox version next week or so. So, I have not voted. But I will say this, I have loved everything that Bethesda has released so far, so I see myself being happy!

You love Battlespire and Regard and all the Elder Scroll phone games as well? How about Terminator and I think it was Wyane Gretzky hockey as well. After all you did say everything Bethesda put out. :P

Oh I'm happy with Skyrim SE. Anything that brings a game I've played and loved in an as up-to-date state as it can be brought, is welcomed.

Out of all the crappy remasters this gen this is actually the one I really wanted the most, thank you Bethesda for making that happen. Skyrim was such an amazing game last gen, I would even consider THE game of the gen, if there was ever one remaster to be made it had to be this one and I'm so happy we finally got it. And now we can keep playing this until Bethesda makes Elder Scrolls 6 :)

I am glad we have this. Only reason why I have stopped playing Skyrim on the 360 was because I bought the Xbox One and my son had the 360 for his room to play with. Now that he has an Xbox One as well he stopped playing Skyrim as well.

So be great now to play Skyrim again on the Xbox One. Mods are just a bonus now. :D

Got a poll out on this even before it becomes playable to some? I will have to answer once I've played it for at least a week or two. I'm not the type that leans on first impressions. If BGS did indeed fix some bugs, then yes that alone will make me happy and the fact I already purchased the Legendary edition on PC, but I have yet to play the Special Edition. I'm gonna start out with no mods. I want to try how it was meant to be played first if nothing else for nostalgia reasons. I'll have to admit I am somewhat excited even though currently my machine only matches bare minimum specs.

Even though I may complain about things from time to time, overall I am happy with TES in general. TES Online has been improving over the years too by the sounds of it, despite its notoriously atrocious start. One thing I can say I hope to see in future TES titles after playing Diablo 3 and seeing some of TES Online's armours is more detailed armour in terms of decals. Skyrim's armours seemed a bit monochromatic to me in that there was not much in the way of gold or silver inlay / edges to give them that extra nobility look. For example: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-item-Wuuthrad.jpg It has some nice etchings and what not, but the haft is the same colour as the axe / blade part of it. Would be nice to see some gold inlay in the rings on the haft for example. It is nice to see the edge of the axe portion looks like it's sharpened and ready to slay some foes, but the etching patterns before the edge could use some different colour inlay on it, etc. For future TES titles.

Edit: I am happy about hearing that Skyrim SE will be using DirectX 11 and is 64-bit.

Been playing for a while on PS4 and so far it's pretty good, so I'm happy with it... for now.

Someone in Australia who got it a few hours ago said there was a lot more vegetation. I bet alchemists will be happy!

He said it was the lootable stuff. And it was a lot. I'm thinking Witcher 3-style plant gathering now and groaning at how annoying that will be lol

Skyrim always had more plant gathering than Witcher 3 and at least in Skyrim they are useful to collect since in Witcher 3 you just need to collect a few samples and then just let the alcohol replenish the stock while meditating. The plants might restock quicker than in Skyrim.

I usually have a hundred or so alchemy ingredients before I reach Riverwood for the first time.

Oh really, I thought all the herbs where hand placed and all the flora was just painted down by the engine, this is why I don't expect the gatherable ones to be changed at all.

Not trying to start an argument, but Skyrim is actually my least favorite TES game, ignoring ESO completely because it's awful.

I would much rather have had a Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion complete remake, but it's better than waiting for TES 6 with nothing elder scrolls related in between.

Besides, it may very well be another whole console generation before we see the next title.
