Are you obsessed?

Definitely not obsessed. They're attempting to remove one of the most key features in games, spawnkilling.

Thank God for that. Spawn trapping will just have to do then.

Spawn killing is one of the greatest things ever made...so great for hatemail. Spawn trapping just doesn't get as much hatemail. :/

Yesterday I dreamt that all of us on the forums for some reason got a BRINK Collectors edition mailed home to us.. Unfortunately, just as I opened it I woke up.

So yep, pretty much!

Anyone who's constantly on these forums and can answer just about any question (mhm) regarding the game is obsessed. I'm sorry but I feel like some people here know TOO MUCH.

My wife could tell people the body types, classes and their capabilities and how the smart system works and that the game director's name is paul wedgwood and that it won't come out until spring 2011. I watch brink videos a lot. I pause them and look at stuff trying to learn things. I watch them over and over looking at all the guns. I listen to interviews and read all the interviews I can find and it seems like I check these boards and the splash damage boards every 30 minutes or so when I'm home. If I had a bunch of brink t shirts I would probably only wear them. How obsessed are YOU?

How bad is it? Do you need an intervention?

I am about 8/10 when it comes to my obsession with Brink...I can't wait for it and I am excited about it, but I am not hardcoe about it. Well I think my Wife just doesn't understand the whole xbox-gaming in general. I think wives who don't game really don't understand why guys enjoy it. When I try to explain to my wife I get the usual eye rolling and nods but she really isn't listening, but of course when it comes to the fact she wants my attention it becomes a different story! :ermm:

I'm psyched as hell. The only 2 things I've noticed that I may or may not have a problem with is:
1. A sensitivity cap
2. The snipers

Hopefully the snipers mesh well with the 'mainly CQC' combat system, and I hope I can raise my sensitivity past BFBC standards. That was my main turn off for that series.

The short rifles are two-hit killers at least; against lights. If the light is unbuffed and the rifle is buffed and if at least one headshot is involved.

I am so obsessed I even started drawing my own archetype called "The Scarred" and I started writing a short story about the Ark that I have yet to finish.

And I had thought the almighty H0RSE (Blessed be his holy hooves) Would be the only person to completely outshine my obsession.

this is the primary MP game i'm looking forward too. the "only" other game i was looking forward too was deus ex....IF it's not a hideous faillure for a deus ex game.

but i just found out elder scrolls 5 is due this year and my tiny mind is shattered into a million pieces. so if i get brink, a good deus ex, tes v and rage all in one year (lets face it tes v is no realistic chance) this'll be my happiest gaming year since the x360 launched.

also congrats to bethesda for having three of the hottest properties in gaming all due in one year ( brink, rage and elder scrolls, they could probably singlehandedly end the GFC with that kind of selling power)

Play it on PC - the xbox version isn't even developed by Splash Damage.

Different development teams is different from different company. And even if it wasn't there still using the same resources, just adapting code to the console versions while making sure it all works well and adapting some controls and other things for consoles.

The controls are much more cumbersome on the console version, there is no support for mods, no dedicated servers, and the community itself is like night and day compared to PC, from everything including the overall mentality and gameplay style, to the size.

It's really like playing a different game.
