Are you obsessed?

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 12:20 am

My wife could tell people the body types, classes and their capabilities and how the smart system works and that the game director's name is paul wedgwood and that it won't come out until spring 2011. I watch brink videos a lot. I pause them and look at stuff trying to learn things. I watch them over and over looking at all the guns. I listen to interviews and read all the interviews I can find and it seems like I check these boards and the splash damage boards every 30 minutes or so when I'm home. If I had a bunch of brink t shirts I would probably only wear them. How obsessed are YOU?

How bad is it? Do you need an intervention?

Luckily, I'm not obsessed too much. It's the one game I'm currently waiting for, but due to the Steam christmas holidays sale I have about 6 games to finish in the meantime. (Btw, if Saints Row 2, GTA IV and Just Cause 2 had a baby, it would be the newborn god of Sandbox games.)

I have Hat Fortress 2 to tide me over till Dead Space 2, then once I get bored of that I'll find some other game.

Probably more Hat Fortress 2.

I had a dream about the game last night.

Not sure if I was playing the game or was in the game.

I was in a dark level in some Doom 3-ish facility. I had to use a flashlight to see.

Every time I used a SMART move it when into third-person.

It also took like a minute to pick up an enemies weapon. had to hold down the button the entire time.

So... uh, yeah... just a little...

Currently this is one of my most anticipated games. I bought ET:QW on Xbox a while back but no one was online, really underrated game...

Play it on PC - the xbox version isn't even developed by Splash Damage.

I don't know, I've never really been obsessed with any game to the point I do something crazy to express said obsession... I might take a screenshot of every character I like that I make and stick it on my wall. That would look cool...

I talk about it to her because no one else is around and she could care less. My wife looks at me weird when I'm on xbox live because she doesn't understand how I'm "talking to people through my video game controller".

I think I'm obsessed without me knowing it, because I'm constantly reading this forum and is extremely looking forward to the game. However I'm also extremely looking forward to AC2:Brotherhood for PC and Crysis 2 on PC, but I'm not reading their forums.

i would consider myself to be very pumped on the game... as of right now im more "obsessed" the game HOMEFRONT... i am always online looking at n4g.com, trying to find any info i can about this game, homefront, crysis 2 or battlefield 3....

Im pretty over cod: blops and growning very tired of bfbc2.. (even though i do enjoy both games) i pretty much onlty play those games if i have a buddy playing it...

I am a little bummed though, with the lack of new info and vids of both this game and homefront. I search everyday for info on both games, and always come up empty handed....
but back on topic... I 100% agree with the OP... I read this stuff all day, and the only person to tell it to is my wife, (my son is only 20 months, lol he dont get it yet) i tell her all about brink and homefront and BF3... show her gameplay vids of brink, crysis 2, homefront... hahahah i even asked her opinion if i should get Modern Combat: Domination next week... she normally just shrugs it off, but sometime when i talk to much about it she tells me shes had enough.. hahaah

Im injured right now and not working, so what else do i have to do right?

APB: R, Brink, Crysis 2 are the 3 games I'm heavily looking forward to play. I already played APB from early access until RTW went under, but can't wait for G1's re-release.

Well, I was really getting psyched for APB before it released for the first time (even though I did enjoy it most of the time). But G1 tend to f?ck things up, imo.
