Are you playing Dead is Dead?

I've never tried it and I won't give it a go, I like to play more relaxed than this.

I think I would put the tv through the wall if I did this. Hit 60 hours in and die... no thank you sir or madam. To each their own I suppose.

This gamestyle is also good for anger management training.

Either that or really bad for it.

What about a compromise? On my first playthrough if my character dies I lose everything in my inv (exception being quest items I can't get rid of) money included.
Sounds more fair? I don't want to have to keep doing the MQ

I`ve played DID style with Oblivion, Fallout 3 and will try it on Skyrim but only after several characters and a few months playtime. It does add a lot more adrenaline to the gameplay knowing your mistakes could be fatal, but i want to play Skyrim through in a relaxed style first and explore without thinking "oh [censored] i just lost a lvl xx character".

I've never done it before, but I'll try it with a stealthy thief/mage character.

Maybe not DEAD is DEAD, but what about.....not playing that certain character for a week or so.
Like the best things from both, since you make a new char do things you normally don't etcetera.

Hmm the only problem I have with dead is dead is that I don't die at all only with mods was this gameplay possible in Oblivion as I hated the difficulty slider with a passion ,
in Skyrim things seem to be very different so I will definitely make several playthrougths with this play style but not my first. :D

Nah... I try to stay alive, of course, but there's no way I'm going through the beginning of the game over and over. It would kill my desire to ever start other characters as the beginning of the game would be utterly worn out. This sort of play style works for 100% Metroid speed runs when the whole game can be wrapped up in two hours, but not for TES. Beth's traps are gonna be too tricksy... It's not a matter of bravery.

No way. I think, "Falling from this height TOTALLY won't kill me," before pressing Y and bashing my little Orc face off the side of a mountain as I tumble for a good thirty seconds, way too many times for Dead is Dead to work without me breaking something during a rage.
