Are you satisfied with this weeks 'big release' of new info?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:10 am

There was a lot of hype I heard about all the new stuff on Skyrim that was coming this week, and I am content with what we got. Here's why:

1) The screenshots showcased aspects of the game we hadn't seen before, giving a great new perspective on some game aspects, this was a definite high point of the release. Especially races!!! The Orc, I mean I've never played an Orsimer in a TES game before, but when they look like that, I may just have to. :P What's even more incredible than the Orc for me is the Khajiit. It just looks... amazing, enough said. This will definitely be my first character.

2) The articles we got I actually loved. We may have only gotten a small amount of 'new' info, but the descriptions of the demo gave me a feel for what the game was like, something all the screenshots and info in the world could never do.

3) At this stage, I don't want Bethesda ruining the game for me, so I'm glad they didn't overdo it with what they released.

How can anyone be satisfied? Jeez! Every time they release stuff it's a tease. It leaves us with as many questions as it answers.

I like seeing it though, it does help ease the cravings.

It's going to be a long summer!

I've been satisfied with Monday's update craze and the new screenshots... but I've been terribly disappointed with that interview on Spike TV... damnit I really hope Beth doesn't give them anything exclusive, EVER

We were supposed to get a lot of new information this week? Ladies and gentlemen, I think I've successfully figured out how to wait for Skyrim without depending on every last bit of information I can get to keep me waiting. I've finally learned how to "tune out" and know that things will come when they come... and that's not meant to be advice to the rest of you. I literally think I've just mastered that art.

I'm fine with the weeks info. If they released everything there was in the beginning people would complain for the next 7 months that they're not hearing anything new.

You are one lucky person. I thought I was like that for a while, but the game trailers thing pulled me back in. I knew it wasn't going to be anything special, but I just kept hoping, and hoping... hoping... :cryvaultboy:

But the screenshots were awesome. I'm very satisfied with that.

I'm incredibly satisfied... only Bethesda can pleasure me in such a sensual way. The way I figure, any information is good information; this week was especially awesome because of the Khajiit pic.

i wouldve liked to see a sipit of new gameplay. just something to tide me over until E3. but no im not disappointed. from what im reading the people who are are acting like they were entitled to something this week. like bethesda owed it to them to give them something now.

but i had a whole slew of new articles and previews to read from media members who came away from their exclusive demo with soiled pants. so if anything, im more excited

Although I would love to see the Dunmer I am extremely satisfied with the new screens and the descriptions of the demo!

No, not really. I think the amount we got was overhyped, and the little information we got was overshadowed by the confirmation of removed attributes and birthsigns.
I'm happy for you guys, but this is my opinion.

Removing attributes is one of the best things they could gave done and some of the best news I've heard. But I think we've been down that road before. I digress.

Almost every single piece of ACTUAL info (disregarding the artistic appearance of races) we got dissapointed me. Less towns than previously stated, no attributes, no athletics/acrobatics, text in middle of screen and compass at top.

Less towns? Where? When? Why? How?

5 "massive" cities are still in. He's referring to less settlements I believe.

I know, but still. Where? When? Why? How? I don't get it. Where was this stated? Why would they have changed their mind about the smaller settlements? I was quite looking forward to more small settlements. How many will we have, instead?

I think it was just a misquote by one of the previews to be honest.
