Are you siding With Joshua or Not?

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 12:53 am

I really don't know, I usually side with the "good" guys, BOS, NCR, etc, but sometimes I go with someone I believe is doing the right thing ideologically, and also not so much of a dike about it.

Example: I kept Ashur in power in The Pitt, in the end he was the best thing for the place. If the Burned Man proves to act in a similar manner, he'll live in my game. I must say that a guy, that survives all that he has, deserves to live, or at least die with dignity.

I hope we get the option to side with him I don't see anything in the achievements that would fore shadow that being an option

his attitude seems to coincide with mine, so i'm already behind him, even if it kills my rep with the NCR. Plus, like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang said, he was lit on fire and kicked into the Grand Canyon... AND 'confirmed dead' a few times...and lived to tell about it. He's been through enough for me to help him out regardless of his ideals. Kinda like Boone.

Oh, look at how open-minded you are.

Ironic, considering we're talking about a zealot. :)

From what we've seen, I don't see how being religious makes you a zealot. Care to explain?

We weren't talking about Graham (even if he does turn out to be one)
We were talking about someone who was making jokes about shooting people for their religious beliefs.

Yes, that's why it's ironic.

Don't believe in the Book of Mormon? You'll burn in Hell. And from the looks of things, Graham will be the one to send you there.

Oh. Haha. Nobody ever sides with me. :shakehead:

You're right. Let's give the scripture-quoting ex-legion tribal leader wearing swat armor with a table full of guns the benefit of the doubt. He could be a great guy.

Not to mention, his Van Buren counterpart was irredeemably evil to the point that simply having him in the party would cause people to attack you on sight.

If by that, you mean less Ted Bundy and more Fred Phelps, then yes, I agree.

No as in trying to somehow reform himself. Usually a baptism cleanses the soul of sin(why he mentions both baptisms). He may see his tenure with Caesar's Legion sin and his fiery baptism as a sort of divine punishment. Not saying that he's not crazy in the slightest but from the original Van Buren version and the NV Version, these feel like two separate characters with similar back stories.

I'm also getting the feeling that Daniel is really just another Joshua...

Depends on who he's wanting to take revenge upon, it's vague enough that his loyalty towards the legion could be driving a need for vengeance against the NCR, blaming them for him being burned and thrown. But he could obviously want revenge against the legion for setting him a blaze :flamethrower:
