a voiced protagonist a mass effect style dialogue wheel and a look at life before the war? yep I think Bethesda wins this round against me.

It looks so awesome! Crafting! Weapon mods! World design! Base building! Graphics! Armour customisation! Weee!!!twentytwo!!!1!! :D *flails*

Then there's the roleplay shackles you get with a voiced protagonist and the UI made for consoles... :( Yeah, I may wait a bit while crossing all my digits and extremities that we only saw a console version and that PC has a proper UI.

This. So much this.

I'm guessing Todd will touch on that as it gets closer to November. Similar to what they did for Skyrim's release. We'll definitely be seeing more info and gameplay from Todd later down the line.

The fact that Todd addressed from jump that you can play as a female shows that at least for the time being, Bethesda is paying attention to concerns and questions. They know the modding community still has many questions, especially after that 'paid mods' fiasco on Steam.

Sold on Fallout 4? Nope, quite the opposite: I won't be buying or playing this game at all, now that we know that hetero player-character + spouse and family [censored] is indeed true...

Well yea, it's Fallout.

I don't have a ps4, but honestly I can still wait for the Obsidian version and Cyberpunk 2077.

I could not have said it any better. Bethesda will have my money and I will take the day off the day after I get it.

I'm indifferent atm. Don't get me wrong the game looks good and fun, there's things I loved and things I hated. In short I'm getting a FO Tactics vibe in the direction from a lore and gameplay changes standpoint. I guess we'll see more this week maybe or at Gamescon.

I don't like how they don't reference New Vegas. It was better than any game they've ever put out. On PC it still gets a lot of mileage, plus I can do a plethora of drugs amongst other things. I love mods.

I will probably buy. Maybe not pre-order, but will buy at some point. reason being I do not know much about it (like how much customization there really is, what the interactions will be involving (like maybe intelligent people playing smart*** with non-intelligent, soldiers-types having a more direct approach or something), etc.).

I'm pretty certain once the dust on Fallout 4 settles, New Vegas 2 will be announced. What could be better than 2 good companies continuing their own interpretation of the game? I think it's great Bethesda is tweaking their own game instead of borrowing from Obdesdian. Let's just hope New Vegas 2 includes much more than the Mojave Wasteland next time around.

LOL, I may actually get it on PS 4, simply because I am done with PC Fallout after Fallout 4 is released.

Yeah, I'll buy it; probably even preorder it. Even with the problems I had in NV, it was still a hell of a game. I just kinda hope they play test into oblivion before shipping it out.

But Oblivion doesn't even use the same game engine!

... Sorry, I'll see myself out.

I'll pray for an Obsidian title that readds the RPG elements. Until then I'll give Wasteland 2 a shot.

Never buy a Bethesda game at day one: it will be glitched as hell. Also, you will have to buy the dlcs on your own. The game of the year edition is the most reasonable thing to buy since they release it after a year and in the 6 months the vanilla game is going to have problems.

Also, we are talking about fallout: until somebody tells me "they didn't [censored] up the lore" or "they didn't do silly stuff like in FO3", I won't buy [censored].

Most off the stuff thats shown been wanting since Fo3 was announced that never made it till now so Im excited this time around.

!:Shadows everywhere is now on.

2:Iron sights while New Vegas did somewhat satified that I want it felt little awkard for me, but in Fo4 seems they got it right or better this time felt like Metro Last Light combat which is good for me and you get hold your breath for sniping accuracy.

3:Make your own shelter but now we can build a small comunity so thats was un expected to see.

There's one thing that worries me and hope it makes it in the game and that hunger and thirst and sleep like in NV did,Simulation needs i want my hardcoe be harder.

No... More of the same tangent; farther away from Fallout. This was expected; it's what we got. :sadvaultboy:

Perhaps now the doubters can see the concern ~made manifest.

  • Power Armor is a good improvement ~at least the visual interaction with it; not the PC modding it of course... that's nuts.
  • So much went into the dog... I assume that PC Companions are immortal. What made NPCs precious in Fallout, was that they could be lost.
  • Facial sculpting: Another gimmick. Incremental refining... Nothing really wrong with it.
  • The voice doesn't bother me, but the Witcher2-style abbreviated and inaccurate dialog sure does. It's a shame; it will affect the whole game.
  • Brotherhood.
  • They may have fixed VATS; it was hard to tell, but if so...
  • Skyrim with gunz ~and Minecraft tacked on... including the build it during the day; get attacked and loose some of it during the night.
  • No RPG to be found.
