SO are you still buying Skyrim?

Not buying Skyrim for the sake of a few missing armor pieces? Really?

So the people who voted ''No'' are still roaming these forums?

Wow 34 people have decided not to buy Skyrim because of this?

Or are they just mad and likely to change their minds on 11.11.11?

I'm pretty sure they're just mad about it and want voted no in order to hope to affect Bethesda more. Well, that's my guess at least.

I don't think that anything short of them making all the people in the game small pink horses will stop me from buying this game...

I smell Easter Egg!!! Or a possible quest from the shrine of Shor (Lorkhan)...

First they came for the Classes, and I did not speak out --
Because I've only played Oblivion.

Then they added perks, and I did not speak out --
Because I didn't mind them in Fallout.

Then they made food weightless, and I did not speak out --
Because It's not a huge problem.

Then they came for armor -- and that's when I realized Streamlining=Dumbing down for the masses.

I voted no because of a combination of factors, not just armor. As someone towards the beginning of this thraed posted, I will rent first, no midnight release for me until we get more information.

OK, so if I understand correctly, you didn't care about the other changes, so the factors that made you reconsider your purchase decision were no greaves + weightless carrots?

or are there some more factors involved?

Don't forget the removal of pointless classes and the addition of more perks.

Stupid thread, sorry but its true. If anyone is stupid enough not to buy Skyrim and all its awesomness due to armour well than tisk tisk..... no one cares if they buy it or not. Everyone who whines about the armour and says they will not buy Skyrim due to that is lying, they will buy it if they are true to the series.

No the thread isn't stupid, it's an opinion of some people that i would like to elaborate on.

Agree. The thread isn't stupid.

Of course I buy it. I don't know what Bethesda could do to make me not buy the game, but this is definitely not it :tes:

Same. :tes:

Yes.

Yay.

Of course.

...

HELL YES! WHAT OTHER 300+ HOUR, OPEN-WORLD, ACTION RPG COULD I POSSIBLY BUY IN ITS PLACE?! IF I DIDN'T BUY SKYRIM, I WOULDN'T BUY ANY GAME! WHAT GAME OUT THERE IS MORE WORTHY OF PURCHASE THEN SKYRIM?! I DO DISLIKE THE SUPPOSED COMBINATION OF CUIRASSES AND GREAVES, BUT WHAT BETTER DEAL CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY FIND IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY THAN THE UPCOMING SKYRIM?! I HAVE TO WONDER IF THE PEOPLE VOTING NO BECAUSE OF THIS BUY GAMES AT ALL!

There might still be customization, it's just that in the inventory, it'll be merged with the greaves and pauldrons after crafting. I hope. And don't forget they need to avoid clipping since there should be different body types.

Dude. All there was to classes was picking a limited number of attributes to advance a little.
Also how is adding more perks bad? They were already there.
There seem to be three types of people on this thread today.
The "I hate that they are taking tedious things out and I hate that they're adding anything! Hate hate hate!" type.
The"OMFGWANT!" type.
And the "What the [censored] is wrong with you people?" type.

There is a kind of ridiculous whining on this thread that has to stop.
It is this kind of unthinking overzealous fundamentalism that gives internet forums a bad name.

Why dont you try formulating an opinion instead of just attacking with all the wit and and grace of a five year old?

People are entitled to formulate an opinion without being bashed by the very devoted fan crowd.
People have a right to critique aspects they are unhappy with without being dragged to the pyre at the town square.

Yes, I am unhappy with a lot of the streamlining and removal of features I see in Skyrim.
Does that mean that there is any reason for this relentless bashing?

For shame.

I care about the loss, but will still buy it. It'll be modded back to normal in no time. I just hate the loss of all those enchantment slots.

Mildly upsetting, not enough to ruin the game for me. I miss Morrowind's exotic fantasy, but the Robert E. Howard-feel of Skyrim is almost as tantalizing.

So yeah, I will still be stabbing dragons in the face.

You know what I hate about the last type of people?
They seem to be fundamentalists unable to understand that if they never used something to its potential, other people might not find it boring.
No, only their opinion matters.

Classes were not boring and pointless. At least not to me.
