Are you taking your Oblivion character to Skyrim?

Post » Fri Dec 25, 2009 8:09 pm

I voted No. I never have one main character when I played Oblivion. I have played games as every Race available. My Personal hope is that they put in a New Playable race and then that race will be my 1st main character.

Hey forum!

Like it says in the title; are you going to take the character you had in Oblivion and recreating him/her for Skyrim?

I don't know if there's going to be a way to actually export the character as a file with all stats. and gear and all, but what I mean is; are you going to make your Skyrim character the same race/class/build/appearance as your Oblivion one? It fits timeline wise too, considering it's a direct sequel.

I know I am, my Oblivion main character is definitely traveling to Skyrim!

I'm going to roleplay that my character is the daughter/granddaughter/grand granddaughter... (depending on the timeline) of the Champion of Cyrodiil. She will be kind of arrogant, because of her heritige.

I hope your character isn't a human, then, as it seems likely that'd make you over 200 years old.

Or the character is a vampire :batman:

I wouldn't want to import stats and gear or anything like that, but it would be great if I could import faces from Oblivion save games.

I had a Morrowind character that I really loved but lost in a hard drive crash--an Ashlander named Kitbaal. I'm very seriously thinking of reviving him for Skyrim. :)

No. There are a few characters who might have descendants though, though I tend to make a new rogue's gallery every single TES game.

I am sort of interested in bringing one of my Morrowind characters; particularly the one I've designated as Nerevarine, into Skyrim. As the Nerevarine is, in fact, immortal. It's sensible that after the destruction of Morrowind, he (Nerayn Indras) might have become a solitary, anonymous wanderer, after his debacle in Akavir; returning to a broken wasteland of a province.

No, he's too busy being the Madgod. My character for Skyrim will be the same race, be the same gender, have the same class, and have the same interests, although he won't be my Oblivion character.

No, I plan on starting a new ancestry line with this one. May hap a future character will be a descendant, but if it's is a descendant it won't be from my character pool, but rather... Saint Jiub!

Half My characters are all from the same Nordic bloodline, the other half are from the same Bosmer bloodline.
When i get to Skyrim, the Hemmletuft bloodline will be going home.

No, I never take a character from one game over into another game unless it's specifically supposed to be the same character. I'll take a character from Neverwinter Nights 2 over into Mask of the Betrayer, or my Warden from Dragon Age: Origins into Dragon Age: Awakening. But I wouldn't take a character from Morrowind into Oblivion, or Oblivion into Skyrm. The character is written to be someone else (hence, the repeated references to the Nerevarine going to Akavir in Oblivion). Plus, they start at level one with no experience. It would feel a bit odd for me for the character who had done all that leg work to save the world from Mehrunes Dagon would suddenly be a weak little peon.

Well my character is commonly a Dark Red Argonian Assassin. But if Bethesda adds further customization to the pallet (Check out my Forums for that) then I definantly will change him up a bit.

He's going to be a descendant of my Oblivion character, himself a student of my Morrowind character. Both of them were knights/warriors, but I'm playing my Skyrim character much differently, as a Ranger-esque character.

Nope.

I play a character till I get bored with it, delete all the saves and start another one. About ready to drop the axe on the Dunmer I'm playing right now, maybe I'll roll a Nord in celebration of V.

No, but for the first four games all my mains were related because they were the son from the previous game, except my Arena and Daggerfall characters were the same guy. This time I plan to start a new family of characters and maybe make them a completely different class.
