I honestly dislike the term, and don't see the pleasure in 'trolling' someone else. I'd rather have constructive debate than a debate with the sole purpose of pissing someone else off. So no

It's a really bad idea, m'kay? If you see a post or thread that seems problematic, use the Report Button. The Report Button is your friend. Let the mods sort it out. "But the other person started it!!!!" isn't a good reason, and usually ends up with more than one person getting a warning, more crap the mods have to clean up, and more stuff for the mods to log in the warning threads in the mod forum.

Just some occasional, casual, drive-by trolling.

An overt act of trolling would be to say that Trump is a troll

-just look at his twitter feed.. and his face.. and the size of his hands (because trolls have small hands, everyone knows this,.. I've heard it from many, many very fine people who all say this)

which would also make this a political statement, because he was elected president of the free world (god help us) -which isn't allowed (posting it, not electing it.. that somehow was completely legal, unless Russia was behind it, then I guess that's also illegal) and becomes a double whammy..

..except this is an example of trolling, posted in a thread about trolling, since otherwise I would of course never post something like this.

Also, other people get warned, I get whacked in the back of the head with something heavy.. such is the fate if you actually go and marry a moderator.

Well, I live under a bridge, and feed on people's angry posts. I don't turn rock solid when I see the sun though, that's a stupid myth, but a nice, curvy woman will do the trick.

Well, I just have to say that it wasn't me that left a suicide note under a bridge saying "I'm the worst troll ever".

It depends on the place and the time. Most times I'm not, and in this place I don't want to be banned, so I don't.


I like to have actual debates. But there are some people out there that aren't logical and don't want to debate or listen to reason. They're the type of people who just call you racist, sixist, or something that ends in -ist or -phobic instead of debating the issue and try to shut you down by dehumanizing you and virtue signaling themselves (after all, why would anyone listen to an evil racist homophobe over a brave social justice warrior fighting for the voiceless victims?)


People like that, the only thing that will get through to them is trolling at an expert level. Satire and reductio ad absurdum are seemingly the only things to affect these people.


So i think trolling has a time and place, but its usually pretty rare that i find it necessary. And obviously this place isnt a place for trolling.

I take the piss out of people every once in a while, but I don't actively [censored] with people for enjoyment
