Are you a True Nord?

Post » Wed Oct 05, 2011 2:36 pm

Well, i have noticed in a lot of "Which Race are you gonna be" Polls, Most of the vote's are going to Nords.
i ask myself, "are most of those votes from people who Originally choose Nord, or people who just are Choosing them because the Game would mostly revolve around them" (which could possibly be described as Bandwagoning but not exactly in this situation)

I myself am sticking with my Favorite race (Khajiit) no matter which Elder Scrolls it is. it just puzzles if there are a lot of True Nords or just a bunch of people going with the Occasion here.
Let's hope this Poll will help us Find out.
(Sorry if there was something Similar to this, i couldn't find one that was.)

I've always had two characters in the previous titles. Bosmer, cause their skill-set is how I play, and Nords, since I am over half Norwegian, and some Swedish, German, Danish, and Scottish. I AM a viking, by blood, making them my other favorite race.

However, I prefer stealth, and the Bosmer are decked out for that.

But my first character will be a Nord, for sure.

Well, i've been a Nord in since Morrowind, because it's my favorite race. Also, it is the closest thing to my own people during the medieval/viking era, cus im a Norwegian :) which is basically why it's my favorite race... And because i like the Warrior type.

So yeah, im a true Nord till the end.

Edit: Typo

I always have four characters, and one of them is a Nord. So yes, I guess.

I play several characters always. I played a Dunmer in Morrowind, and a Imperial in Oblivion, it just feels right to play them.

I have no idea what I'm playing in Skyrim, but I'm leaning towards a Nord Spellsword, but I won't know until the character creation screen is in front of me.

I think my quirk/difference/problem is that I don't have a favorite race. I've made so many characters. Tried out many races doing whatever profession of which I could think.

BUT.

It would probably be a Nord. My Mainquest Heroes have always ended up some sort of hodgepodge crusader-battlemage, trying to use impenetrable armor, heavy-hitting weapons, and enough magic to get in as many game features as possible. Orcs were too slow and dispositionless, Redguards too all-in.

I've played as a few characters in my day, I usually stick to the races that are great with melee...

Morrowind my first character was an Orc, followed by a Nord, Imperial, and then Nord again.

Oblivion I was first an Imperial, then a Nord, and currently a High Elf which is new for me :o

Yes, I will be a Nord in skyrim.

Well I'm going with a Orc for my first character, but honestly for the first time ever I want to play all the races, the males look freaking hot, Khajiit look awesome, and Argonians also look awesome.

A Nord will be my first character, but a Khajiit will be my second, Dunmer third, Wood Elf fourth, and hopefully breton fifth (if i'm not bored with skyrim by then; the only game i ever played more than ome full plytrhoughs is Oblivion, only 2)....
Maybe an Orc as well,

For Morrowind I made a Dunmer, for Oblivion I made an Imperial. Should be pretty obvious what I'll roll for Skyrim. Just fits better to play the race they expect you to (though I'll definitely roll a Dunmer as well as an Imperial down the line).

Well, technically, according to my bio, my charactor half Nord and half Imperial but with more Nord genetics so I can't be a "true" Nord.

You and I both know that Nordic genes are far stronger than Imperial genes. ;)

Nope I am a true Breten. My alts are usually beast races, but I have played Nords and Dunmer before and probably will again if there racial abilities are any good.

I was a Nord in my second game of Morrowind, and I was a Nord in my original Oblivion game. I am going to be a Nord no matter where the game takes place. The fact that it is in Skyrim has got nothing to do with it. (though I have been hoping for Skyrim since Morrowind...)

Nords are my favorite, but now always so.

The fact that the Dragon Voice is a Nord trait made me like them even more. The other races aren't supposed to be able to use shouts. It's a Nord characteristic.

Besides, it's stupid to have a lizard, cat, or mer running around with this purely Nordic ablity.

I typically play as a Nord for my "Canon" play through, so the setting does not exactly tie too much into it. That being said, I'm finally going to my characters homeland, so that will definitely put a different spin on things,
