I think he means that Skyrim won't be mod friendly, and thus there will not be many(any) mods. The reason he is saying that, I guess, is when he have completed the storyline he will get bored... Even though there will be tons of exciting sidequests to do too.

Also, if you are referring to 2012 as the end of the world, I'll help educate you, the prophesied day the world ends on is December 21st, 2012, not January 1st, 2012.

Either way, this is not appropriate.

I don't know where the idea that the end of the calendar was the end of the world came from, but it is quite stupid.

Every generation there are several different days decided upon as the end of the world. Just because this theory has been brewing about for some time doesn't mean it's accurate.
