No Area 51 in DLC?

Post » Thu Sep 30, 2010 10:26 am

I think Daisah's idea is a good one. You unintentionally intrude into a restricted perimeter, and you're taken in for examining, to observe how humans have mutated, if at all, you wake up during examination, and all hell breaks loose. I'm sure they can do plenty of things with it, however, it will most likely not be included, as the rest of the DLC's in New Vegas appear to be strictly story-related.

I'd rather not see Aliens there. I never liked MSZ I just felt like it was too out there for Fallout. An easter-egg here and there is nice but an entire DLC, no thanks.

Area 51 would provide some sixy tech. and loot. Plus it would be freaking awesome to make it atleast a little scary like Bioshock. If it's Area 51 then there has to be some godly enemies. Plus if you beat it, wouldn't it be nice if some of said enemies were to leak out across the Mojave? Some aliens or some experimentations where they look freaky. And some kind of boss. Those HUGE super mutants in FO3 were cool, how about some tough enemy like that? (Please don't make it unvisitable like DM)

I can also say I wasn t impressed with the weapons. I would expect alien weapons to be far more accurate at range, and much much much more deadly.

I did like MZ, but live aliens should not be in area 51 if they were to make a dlc there. Niether should really big supermutants. They can think of their own little area 51.

Live aliens in area 51 would be dumb. No thinks there have ever been live aliens in area 51. Just dead ones............

hey fallout is a role playing game so yea sometimes imagine that i am a ninja (in game not in real life of course)
but it would be so awesome to get a ninja suit but what would its DT be it couldnt be that high since ninjas relied on their stealth and not armor...

No, it would have a low DT ofcourse. Your right, ninjas are about stealth. it would have to add something crazy to your sneak but, at night leaving you fairly invissible in the shroud of darkness. Ninjas dont get seen. Sh*t, theres barely any documentation of ninja's excistance. they would probably have to add a better ninja perk though. add smoke bombs and shurikens or something. it sure would add another use for melee weapons, if they included swords. its a lil out of the fallout lore but still, who the :whistling: does'nt like ninja's? the suit should add a stealthboy effect (minus the transperancy) and a perk should make you mve ALOT faster and quiter. I would probably never be implemented but ifd be fine with a ninja suit with no added perks. ok guys its 1:41 in the morning, my missus will be extremely pissed off that im talking about videogames on the internet to fellow game-o-holics and my chances of getting lucky are now nill. untill tommorow, peace.

agreed.

Im all there for aliens in fallout. the been there since FO1 so there cannon. fallout s based on the fiftys ( i know different time line) where alien's where a big thing so it would make sense for them to be there. im not saying off to a51 t kill a heap of aliens, BUT there should be some dead aleast ones there WW or not. Aliens are in fallout, have a bong and relax. i was happy with my sugestion of it being run since the war buy scientists continuing research, witch would make there technowlodgie very high tech, suporting the defence system keeping them pesky fiends out. (no match for the courier, were straight up hardcoe). ok i can now barely type or keep my eyes open. Peace x

I don't think people are arguing against aliens in the Fallout universe, they have always been there as you said. But people are talking like they want to turn Fallout into an Alien game, a big Mothership Zeta, all teleporters and alien blasters and ufo dogfights. No. If I wanted to play an alien game I'd go out and buy one.

it could be possible, i mean they use a part of mccaran to transport workers from mccaran to area 51 so maybe they could have somethink that uses mccaran to get to area 51

I forgot but someone confirmed that a character from FO3 was going to make a reappearance and maybe if there is going to be someone it could be like the little girl from MZ and what better place to land an Alien ship than Area 51 right? But anyways an Area 51 DLC would be really cool. Oh yah btw what if like, since the pentagon had Liberty prime, there was like an even more advanced communist hating robot? I mean they have to put something in those hangers right? And who knows what they have underground!

How about Nazi ghouls......leftovers from some German WW2 experiment involving hibernation chambers, they were brought back to the US after the war for "study" and forgotten until after the war some Wastelander let them out. they're ghouls as a side-effect of the hibernation process. Being nazis, they of course decide to try to create a 4th Reich in the Mojave and you of course have to kill them and steal thier WW2 guns and snappy Hugo Boss uniforms before they succeed.

Agreed. Im not playing AvP or something
But a few aliens is all good.I love the idea of liens in FO but i wouldn't want them being there to impact heavily on the game as the game is a post apocalyptic story about survival, not anol probes.

I love zombies but i cant see how it would work in FO. If anybody can come up with an idea for actual zombies id be thrilled. and not the running sort, i like my zombies slow and infectious. Maybe FEV on dead test subjects?

NORAD has been confirmed to be Offline by the PoseidoNet Relay in Fallout 2; I think it's safe to say what offline means :nuke:.

Not zombies.....these would be regular ghouls that happened to be real WW2 SS men. It would be out of the movies about undead Nazis causing trouble for everyone else. They might have ferals with them, but they would be able to think and talk to the Courier, and have a plan the Courier could foil. If the courier needed a reason to kill them other than getting hold of a STG-44 and then running around the Mojave dressed as a SS or Gestapo officer, that is.

Its in colorado just outside of colorado springs. Dealing with norad is kinda touchy for the fallout team though. Many hardcoe old fans will swear up and down that nothing in tactics will ever by cannon, the orginal dev teams bickered about keeping at least part of it cannon before interplay died. However bethseda has hinted on more than one occasion that they may still keep parts of it cannon.

Anyways long story short, BoS had a civil war the losers ended up in chicago free to expand on their ideals of creating a militaristic technocracy that subjugated surrounding tribes and town under their banner (protection for recruits) that fought its way all the way to norad to do what BoS does best and nerdgasm over technology. On the way they find out that norad is home to a robotic army created by the government to completely wipe out post apocalyptic life in america so that the people in the vault there (called vault 0) and other vaults could emerge safely and rebuild america. Since communication was severed between the vaults and vault 0 they never got the all clear and opened on their own, it gets muddy here since their was a bit of dispute between dev teams if all vaults were science experiments and if some actually served normal purpose. Anyways go to the wiki if you want more information on its basis ive always preferred tactics brotherhood than the silly DC brotherhood.
