Area 2 IS your Area 51. In the alternate USA, they only got so far as building 2 areas, the other 49 had to wait ;)

Scratch the entire "Alien in A51" crap and think of OTHER alternatives for it. It can be a place that the Enclave used to make high-tech equipment before the shut down of the Oil Rig. Hell it can be Enclave Remnants using it as their main base fending off other Enclave Factions, Expanding the entire splintering of the Enclave which haven't been show in a fallout game yet.

I could care less whats in there, as long as they give me the place. Enclave r the only ones I think could have got in there, because they d know the most about it than anyone.

People might flip out about too much Enclave too. Better just leave it to the writers and devs.

Bos would have got slapped pre war security if they tried it.

The game is set in Nevada and there's even Aliens in the region so including Area 51 in a DLC seems like a no brainer. No? There's all kinds of things they could do with that. Doesnt necessarily have to have Aliens in it. I just think it would be a waste if that location is never explored.

Where are there Aliens? If you are talking about that Wild Wasteland Encounter. That does not count.

If there is an Area 51 for the love of god please don't have Aliens!

Why would the Enclave fight eachother, have a "split" when they are all fanatically devoted to one cause and are on the verge on anhialation.? The Enclave have already been referenced as being in Chicago regardless.

Fallout:Chicago

A mysterious person named President Ron Jerry Jeanen has summoned all Enclave and they take over a power plant and become all powerful. Then in the final chapter fight a robot named Freedom Best that is owned by the Brotherhood. Then we go to a USAF base and fight their giant mobile crawler with a huge weapon whos experimental schematics were nearby.

Defense systems keep intruders out while aliens run amuk inside?
how about scientists have maintained it since the war, creating highly advanced technology. they see the rest of america "Tainted" by radiation therefore cutting themself off from the rest.

ENCLAVE, and area 51 is most likely to be run by the goverment, the enclave soilders defend the place the scientist work on the technology and the aliens are target practice, besides the aliens being a target my therory sounds reasonable

The Enclave is not run by the government, that is the point, it is a group of individuals who operated above the government and laws. Pre-war the Enclave had no soldiers, it contolled the US Army and had no need for it's own regular grunts; you may also be mistaking the Enclave for an army, it is not, it has it's own scientist working for it and would have to US Army guarding them. Post-war, 2281, the Enclave is in too precarious a state, surely, to be trying to occupying a massive, high-profile military base right next to the NCR which tanned their arses only some decades prior.

Why do these threads keep popping up it's been said be several members of the dev team that area 51 won't appear, I thin the closest we'll get is the big empty and I'd much prefer a fresh idea to a rehash of area 51 thats been done to death be creative come up with your own seccret bases it's not that hard.

So who operated the Enclave? And also I remember something about Helios One, a guy said that the technology there was more advanced than the Enclaves perhaps that technology orginated in area 51 and sorry for not knowing who the enclave was

OOHHHH NO!!!!!!! You have aliens and Enclave in the same place??????

Just be glad the Bethesda said something today and these guys r in a good mood or they would have blown a gasket. lol

I could imagine martyr s face when his video game guy opens a door and there is Enclave shooting aliens, and they r running around all amuck with Micheal Bay explosions going off every where.

A currently unanswerable question, I personally believe that the Enclave may at first have been leaderless and instead a loose consortium of powerful people who all looked out for each other, scratched each others backs and such, made sure the Poseidon Energy got the permit to mine uranium in a national park and in return they develop a weapon for the US military. Stuff like that. Maybe later (or from the start, as I say who knows?) they grew larger and had a united goal for the US which they all strove to bring about, the highest people are apart of the organisation and by having all of the authority, they can manipulate the rest of the organisation; say they wanted someone assassinated and so called upon the head of the FBI, NSA, whatever to plant some evidence and get the target killed in a "shootout" for "resisting arrest" or "treason".

I personally believe that they were lead by some form of council of the most powerful and connected members, no matter whether they were politicians, soldiers, business man or what; Presidents come and go after all and the Enclave is by no means legimemately connected to the proper government (at least pre-war, post-war I believe that the Enclave simply ceased to exist outside of the old name), members of one are merely members of the other and usurp their legal, earned power for the goals of the secret organisation.

I believe that the guy in Helios was merely failing to notice the connection between Poseidon Energy, Helios ONE and the Enclave; Poseidon Energy was partically dominated by the Enclave's will, they even built the Enclave's hiding place the Oil Rig.

I say make the Aliens an official faction! Alien Fame Gained! j/k

yo, this idea is the best idea vie ever [censored] heard, the aliens wanna take over the planet and we gatta decide if we want them to or not, yoooo that is ridicules, that can be a dlc, and if u choose to go with the aliens, you go back to theyr planet (which is exactly like ours, cuz its an alternate universe) and the game keeps going from wear u left off, but every1 is aliens, and the environment is different and items are different and [censored] like that. omg. that would be [censored] amazing.

AND on top of that. They sort of 'announced' themselves to the world. IE: The logo of Poseidon Energy.

Well they could make up their own ideas about whats in area 51. See this game takes place in the United States and there is absolutely nothing wrong with making me feel that way.

Theres a certain something about some places in the United States, that when you come on to them in a video game it fills your brain with wonder and amazement. Area 51 is one of those places. One of the most top secrect military installations in the free world. I want to know what Obsidian thinks could be in there in fo world.

You go for original, I ll go for that feeling that say "this is post apocalyptic America." Places like Area 51 say that.......
