Is there anyway (mod or something) to improve the graphics on TES: Arena??
Thanks in advance.

I recommend removing any vision correction devices. If you have perfect vision, try squinting.

Seriously, they are what they are, decent graphics for 1994 but not up to today's standards. If you can, consider it part of the charm of the thing.

Can?t you understand, H????? I?m not complaining about the graphics, I was just asking about!!
Some people use graphic mods for oblivion and morrowind ( but not because they were unsatisfied about them, they use those mods to improve the game).

No, there are no graphics, gameplay, or otherwise mods for Arena, no TES game except Morrowind and Oblivion have those available. Other than a very limited amount for Daggerfall.

I was trying to give you the subtle "no," but thanks to SW for providing the unsubtle.

It seriously wouldn't bother me if moving around wasn't so slow. I can deal with the graphics. I wanted to move past the graphics issue...it was moving around that really made it hard.

Stancel, increase the numbers of cycles in dosbox to increase speed, or use the - & + keys in game to change speed.

The moving issue is not an artifact of the game itself; Arena's mechanics are quite good (if not perfect). It is an artifact of the platform on which you are running the game.

Always happy to be Captain Obvious. *Tips hat*

For '94, those graphics are quite good. I like 'em, but it ofcourse depends on the person.

Try fiddling around with the rendering options in dosbox maybe you can get some antialiasing and such.

It changes the view distance when you are outdoors. Drastically. Turn it on max, and suddenly you can tell that Valenwood is actually a wood.

What MM said, plus it also drastically slows the game down.

DosBox actually does have sprite smoothing options, yes. I think sprite smoothing generally looks bad since it's less "smoothing" and more "makes everything look really odd and blurry but it's still not smooth."
