Arena Classes what do you choose and why.

Hey all, I am going to start Arean again. I havn't played it since what, 1996. Ages ago. I forgot you can't have custom classes in Arena. I want to be able to cast spells, I just love doing it. Now i forgot what I played. Was it a battle mage. Well from reading the classes, I found my Arena book yeah, but not disk or start guide boo. But luckily for us, Bethesda gave it to us for free now.

So what class should I take? Should I take the Sorcerer, wich can't regenerate magic but has more magic points. I guess the Antronach came from this class eh, or the spell sword wich seems like an Jedi type character wich I like to play alot. I was even thinking of Battlemage. But do I really want to be wearing armour? I can't remember, will I be able to find lots of restore magic potions so not being able to regenerate magic is no big deal. I am thinking of doing a spell sword as a dark elf.

What do you guys think? What did you choose and why?

I tend to play as a spellsword (and ALWAYS play as a dark elf), mainly because i like the versatility of the class. only downside to the spellsword is not being able to equip anything above chain armor. easy to make up with shield spells though. in the past i had played as the warrior (who can equip all armor in the game) but the complete lack of magic (outside of crystals, rings, ect.) really just seemed like a major downside to that class. as for sorcerers, if your into it, go for it! Potions can be found (though its somewhat uncommon and they have to be identified) but its much easier to just buy them as they are cheap and gold is abundant. I've always just loved running up and bashing my opponent's face in, usually while spell reflecting, under layers of shields, regening health. and a shiny aura of light :)
but hey, thats just what i like:p

If you're looking for a challenge, Sorcerer is probably the most challenging, particularly early on in the game when you rarely meet spell-casting monsters. Also challenging are thief classes (like Acrobat).

The most user-friendly classes are Spellsword and Battlemage due to their combination of fighting and magic skills.
