Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:45 pm

i downloaded arena from the elder scrolls site, so it is a download. Fully legal cause bethesda gave it away free because of the 10th aneversery. But if i want to install the game it says: needs floppy disc. But it is a download and my computer doesn't even have a floppy disc player. What do i have to do..?

thx in advantage

It's already installed. You don't need a floppy drive.

You don't need to use "install.exe" to get arena running, you only have to run the "ARENA Batch file", all this is explained in the sticky.

Who's 'he'? Or do you like to speak in the 2nd person?

All computers are "he" just like all ships are "she".

This is just a fact. Don't even question it.

That part of the program is leftover from the original release of the game. You can ignore it. You aren't supposed to use the part that calls for a floppy disk, but they could not eliminate it from the program when the re-released it.

And to everyone else, it's most likely that the OP doesn't speak english as his mother tongue, and is still working on getting pronouns sorted out.

Consider it a lesson in tolerance. :)
