I just decided to start playing Arena and I like it so far. I just have one question that I haven't been able to find the answer to. What is the large dark box in the lower right hand corner? I originally thought a mini-map was supposed to go there but it's always dark. Just wondering if anyone knew its purpose.

say you want to cast a spell, you click the spell button and your spell list appears there, same as when you use a magical item.
