Arena: What exactly does Endurance do for HP?

So I just found the Oghma Infinium, and now I need to know what role your Endurance plays in determining your HP. Here is what UESP says on the subject:

Endurance:

This governs how healthy you are. It directly affects your hit points, your healing rate, and is a factor in determining your fatigue points. It also affects your resistance to poisons and diseases that you may come into contact with while adventuring. Since the bonus at 100 is only +5, only characters with low hit dice will need to invest in Endurance. Note that Spellcasters can fortify their endurance to 100 before levelling up to gain the maximum bonus.

Note: the hit point bonus only applies to hit dice rolls in subsequent levels; it is not retroactive. Therefore, if you want to invest points in Endurance, do so as soon as possible to get the most benefit.

What is the +5 bonus? Is that how much HP I gain when I level up? Is there a difference in the +5 bonus when my Endurance is 94 and the +5 bonus when my Endurance is 100? +5 doesn't seem like very much.. How useful is a high Endurance attribute?

I'm a level 13 Breton Spellsword with only I think 109 HP and 61 Endurance, so I'm thinking maybe my Endurance could use a little help, but I'm wondering how useful it really is.Thanks.

Right-click on your Endurance number and you'll see a description, incl modifiers.

Specifically, an End of 100 will net you an additional +5 to HP's, when you level up. So my Berserker that I created to have a max hp per level up of 30, when leveling will have the following hp increase range (you always get at least half your maximum I guess plus End mod):

15-30 +5 = 20-35

How important is that? Depends: my Berserker is level 10 with 365 hp's. He killed 3 Ancient Liches and still had about 30 HP left to run and heal (or drink a True Heal potion). I only finish level up when I get my 35 HP. That is his essence (you know that Berserker wear no armour, nor clothing right?).

But my High Arcanist (mage) couldnt care less: I intentionally gimp his Endurcnde to 30, built him to have max HP's of THREE, because his game is not melee situations, is casting deadly spells from afar in Invisible True and Levitation mode.

Nothing can touch him :) - except for Archers (who cannot see him coz he's invisible).

EDIT: so for your spellsword, you'd have just a +1 modifier. The 30 points of Oghma will allow you to increase that to +4;

-snip-

It seems like you are talking about Daggerfall. I was asking about Arena. I've got 50 points to distribute, so if I want I can max Endurance with some left over. I assume the mechanics are pretty similar between the games, though, so thanks for your help :)

Oh - my bad, but same thing applies.

Endurance max modifier (+5) tops at 94. The only benefit to go to End 100 is to get more 6 pts of Fatigue.

That's what I thought. I boosted my Endurance to 94 and dumped the rest into my Willpower. Thanks again for the help :)
