I would say when I nearly cut my entire finger off, but it didn't really hurt at the time. As for what hurt, either the time I flew from my bike after hitting a stump and hit a tree (thank goodness I wore a helmet) or my knee.

I'm going to hazard a guess to breaking one of my left toes.(At least I'm guessing it broke, I never did get it checked out) Thing swelled like crazy though and hurt like heck if I put any pressure on it for a while. Second up, smashing my knee into a wall while running full speed. Both made me want to throw up, but the broken toe one lasted a lot longer so it wins first place.

The least painful serious injury I've had was having glass stab into my head. I didn't feel a thing and only realized it when blood started flooding down my face.

3-4

Dirtbike exhaust burn on my forearm, which didn't hurt at the time, but the 2nd borderline 3rd degree burn had an awful recovery period.
Almost mirroring the effects of that I caught a circular grinder with a wire brush attachment on my thigh.

Then I sliced my pointer and middle fingers on my right hand to the bone, but that was more shock + annoying recovery than outright pain.

4 was a recurring pinched nerve in my lower neck all throughout HS. (wrestling)

Dropping a 21" TV on my toe. And not one of the new ones that are flat, it was the old style ones which are box shaped. It fractured the bone and smashed the nail completely, needing stitches as well.

Nothing too horrific, I've been very lucky with avoiding injuries considering my current and past interests.

1) BMX toptube + male's 'vulnerable area'. Got to be the worst in terms of basic human pain, happened to me a couple times.

2) Gashed my knee running in the fells here (unfortunately on a rocky/scree section), lots of pain and blood; I remember just sitting down and shouting for a while. Luckily no lasting damage.

3) Bruised/grazed my elbow pretty bad running a shallow rapid section (ww kayaking), went to roll and BAM. Was too cold to feel much immediately (I swam), but it was extremely sore for several days.

I mostly condition for and practice parkour now, and I've suffered very little pain so far - shins occasionally take a knock and my palms get torn up, but I'm more sensible than I used to be.

Cut my foot open on an exposed nail at my friend's house. Needed about 10 stitches IIRC. What was worse is that I had to have the stitches without general anaesthetic.

I broke every finger on my left hand when I was about 8, fell off the top of a bunkbed. I hit my head as well, think I was mildly concussed which helped take some of the pain away. Went for a week after my x ray with it undiagnosed, the local hospital had nobody in that was qualified to read x rays when I had it done, the guy that did read it was basically pulling it out of his ass. I'm not sure what hurt more though, breaking them or trying to continue using them for the week when everyone just thought they were badly bruised.

Lol interesting reading in this thread
The worst that happened to me was cracking my tibia (shin) when I fell in a 4 feet concrete hole near a construction site. Mr Booze was my chaperon so it only hurt a lot the day after.

Yeah, some of these make me cringe, we are a pretty reckless people on the Bethesda forums....or maybe I just dont get out enough. One time I slipped on ice and tumbled down our concrete staricase we had outside our old house, I landed on my little finger on my right hand for some reason and never went to the doctor about it, I think I fractured it because it was purple for a few weeks. But I have never broken a bone in my body before, nor have I ever had stitches which is odd considering my entire childhood was chasing neighborhood kids through the woods and playing army guys with toy guns. But I'm only 17, still plenty of room left to do stupid things :P

golf club+Head=Pain, blood, scary trip to Emergency room. Being awake while the docs are operating on the impact area, right next to my eye, was scary as hell. I could see everything they were doing.

Most painful thing that happened to me was when I got into an argument with a glass door...and lost. I cut my arm down to the bone on the inside part of my elbow (right where you bend it). Got stitched up with 18 stitches and now left with a wicked three inch scar now The doctor and the nurses told me just how lucky I am. One inch in any direction and a couple of unappealing things could've happened that day; the first being that I could've severed the nerve in my arm rendering it completely useless, the second being even more unappealing; I could've severed the artery and died right there (home alone in the basemant) Fortunately I only cut through the muscle...can't get much luckier than that.

Broke my arm when I was six. My bones bayoneted (I think that's the term) so it was excruciatingly painful.

Hmmmm ... I remember falling while riding my bike awhile ago, and I landed pretty fast onto concrete gravel, and I really shredded up both of my knees. Another one would probably be when I was playing road hockey also awhile ago, and I ran the stick into the sidewalk and in the stopping force I ran into the stick, in a sense, and wohhh: I fell to the ground rolling around in pain.

Nearly cutting my finger off, and slicing it along til the blade was stopped by the fingernail, then bleeding for six hours. Then having an open wound for several days as it continually reopened at the slightest movement from me, necessitating the non-use of that finger for a week.

There's still not very much flesh between the skin and the bone now.
