First off, let me say I love this mod. Iv'e always wanted to see Argonia, and I think your work on Cyrodiil is also phenomenal. With that in mind, id'e love to be able to work on this project.

I could, possibly, do landscaping. I don't have a TON of experience, and no released mods to show off my skills; however, I'm willing to show you a small landscape I made if you want to see how well I may perform at the job. This would be my favored position, as I love making landscapes in games like Farcry (Yes, I know, not really "modding," but very similar to Morrowind's landscape editor), and DnD (Which is a different beast entirely, top down views are easier to make, but you still have to have skill at object placement). Besides, the only way I can get better is to practice, right?

I know for sure that I could work as a writer for quests and dialog, I have extensive familiarity with both through DnD.

If there is anything besides these jobs that I can do to help with the mod, I'm probably willing. Note that i'm still learning how to model and texture, so those aren't really options.

To be honest, when I posted it was now an open project that was for Cyrodiil
Would you still be interested in assisting for Cyrodiil, and then possibly down the road for Argonia?

What was that in the end?
(Darkmoor Video)

I explained it earlier in the thread somewhere, but the Darkmoor village houses are an eggsack of sorts that is soaked in water until it absorbs it and becomes a giant balloon type thing. This is a extremely early version of that without any support on it currently to keep it up.

That's almost exactily how I envision Argonia/Blackmarsh. Great stuff Zackg.

Though the swamp could use alittle more variation in fauna. Maybe some shorter trees and water plants

Thats actually what Im going to be dedicating much of this week to, creating a much larger array of fauna for Darkmoor.

That's great Zackg.

Though I probabily already got too much on my plate, I'd be happy to do some interior modding for both Cyrodil and Argonia down the road. :)

So much modding to do, so little time :ahhh:

How can you ask me not to get angry at a question like that?!?! You have a lot of nerve Steve!!!

lol Please excuse my sarcasm

I assume you are referring to the Argonia project and not the Cyrodiil project, of which I will say I do not have any cities worth showing. I have lame models completed here and there but overall what you see in the video is kinda what you get.

Just gonna post some words of encouragement: I really like what you've posted so far, it looks like it's gonna be pretty cool, and different from other landmass mods, in terms of climate - I like the idea of another swampy climate instead of more grasslands or mountains or a Tolkien-esque forest. Not that the others are bad, but I'm looking forward to this one, it looks like it's gonna be pretty cool. I haven't modded anything myself, and I imagine it's hard work but I've also seen some really cool stuff people do with Morrowind so I'm glad you guys keep doing what you do.

Bouncing back and forth between projects and heres a little update.

For Argonia-
Ive fixed issues with one of the new plants and a few of the ferns.
I have drawn a few more designs and some more ideas for the plantlife in Darkmoor.
Ive begun retexturing the GreenWay Coast so that there is a smoother transition between teh two regions.

For Cyrodiil-
Ive seperated the Great Forest region with the Heartlands region
Ive made numerous plant models and textures, Bergamot , Summer Bolete mushrooms, Viper's Bugloss Monkshood. Clouded Funnel, Fly Amanita, Green Stain mushrooms, Motherwort, Primroses, Somnalius ferns and the Steel Blue Entoloma mushrooms.
Also been studying the constructs of redwoods through reference pics, as they are the dominant tree in the great forest.

Curiosity strikes me, are you going to do Oblivion as well?

With the sheer size of what Im doing I dont really think making Oblivion would be feasible.

Ok, I think the only way to progress on these mods is to make goals and then set a deadline for having them done. I already do this myself, but from now on Im going to post them here so people can see just how the mod progresses. Ill post every Sunday of what I expect to have done by the following Sunday. So here goes..

For Cyrodiil-

Finish 3-6 Redwood trees for Great Forest
Make textures for Redwood trees
Make Ferns for Great Forest region and texture
Create the Heartlands plants, namely Morning Glory, Lavender, Water Hyacinth, Nirnroot, and the Sacred Lotus

For Argonia-

Model Bending root/flower thing
Model plants that hang from trees
Switch texture paths so tree leaves have more variation
Change greenwaycoast grass textures to more desaturated look

Nice forest shots! I know that it can be a big performance hit, but I just love dense forests for Morrowind. Reminds me of Solstheim, in that way.

Looks fantastic. Is it just me, or are the trees in screenshot eight all a little too parallel? It might look a little better if the occasional tree had a bit of a lean.

Its gettin there adn Im almost ready to do so =-).

And heres the weekly progress report.
I was sposed to:

For Cyrodiil-

Finish 3-6 Redwood trees for Great Forest
Make textures for Redwood trees
Make Ferns for Great Forest region and texture
Create the Heartlands plants, namely Morning Glory, Lavender, Water Hyacinth, Nirnroot, and the Sacred Lotus

For Argonia-

Model Bending root/flower thing
Model plants that hang from trees
Switch texture paths so tree leaves have more variation
Change greenwaycoast grass textures to more desaturated look

What did I get done?

For Cyrodiil-
Made on redwood and copy and pasted it around a few cells to get a feel.
Made redwoods textures.
Changed great forests ferns but they still need tweaking. too strong of a green still.
Made the Imperial Palace Base model

For Argonia-
Nothing ='-(.

...In my defense, it was a long, long, expensive week.
