Argonia wip

I thought that for houses there could be houses similar to Yoda's house on dagobah in star wars. Those scenes are good reference for landscaping too.

I hope you have the time and patience to complete this mod! But the very little that you have so far shows that you are pretty skilled at landscaping already so even if this only turns out to be a portion of Black Marsh it will still be great I am sure. Can't wait for a beta release!

Keep up the good work!

Hmm, you wouldn't be needing any texture work done though would you? I could do that...

If you are still interested in retexturin things, maybe you might retexture common/imperial/nord houses for the project?

This looks incredible.

I'd also contact Vality perhaps for some tips on what Vality has done with the Bitter Coast and grass mods, especially working alongside MGE for rendering the grass. Understanding you are working on marsh, but Vality may have some tips.

Hmm, maybe I'll try that, wait, I have a better idea. Why not retex the ashlander yurts to look like adobes?

Because these will be for Archon, and Archon is going to have a recent Imperial presence. Any and all trade from the cities on the Eastern border of Argonia is slowed because of the the Argonians unwillingness to trade north to the Dunmer, and the inability to trade west due to the lack of roads. So the Imperials are currently building a huge dock and converting the city into a major trading port...or attemptong to, atleast. Thus, I need some retexs of Imperial buildings. Think green and aqua blues, vines and leafs imbedded in the sides. I just dont want to use the vanilla textures when Imperials would be forced to build woth different materials then they did in Vvardenfell.

Very ambitious I must say. Hope that you pull it off. :)
But in that last screenshot. Does the trees stand in an angle out from the bank? It looks like they are just tilted on the side and that doesn't look real at all..

Ah okay, I'll try that, but for the argonian cities, can I make some ashlander house retexes?

A look at the first imperial retext that will be found in a few major cities. Excuse the lack of detail, its just to check em out ingame

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj265/zackgwin/MGEScreenshot1.jpg

In other news, Ive found out to make my own trees, billboard and all and they are looking better than any trees ive seen thus far for morrowind, if i may so humbly state. But in order to make more I need help with leaf textures. So if anybody would like to help me out and draw up a few it would be most appreciated.

Hey there Zackg, good to see the project is coming along, would you like me to touch up those textures for you? I just needed an idea of what to do, and now that I know, I can work.

Progress Report...

-All of the Imperial buildings have been retextured and are complete.
-87 new high-res land -textures have been created and another 20 or so will be done by weeks end with a goal of about 120-140 of them in total.
-1 out of the hopefully 3-4 swamp-specific buildings have been modelled and textured.
-1 out of 2 of the water-specific buildings are modelled and textured.
-52 different trees have been re-textured with 6 different bark textures for a total of 312 different trees. (A large number of these will be discarded or replaced, however)
-Crimson Isle, the first planned release as a proof-of-concept has its landmass done, 75% of detailing done, and its quests outlined.
-Section 2, which holds a small section of the Argon Jungle to the north, Swampland to its west and southwest, and coastal mangroves along its east, has 50% of its landmass done.

Very impressive work. I can't wait to try out the Crimson Isle release. I've always been fascinated by the Black Marsh, and this mod is like a dream come true to me.

Wow zackg, I'm anxious to see your work at full, the screenies you've posted are WIP non full awesome, but I'd love to see what's done.

I'm anxious to see some of the modeling and texturing you've done.

If you can't spell get Firefox, it has a spellchecker in it, although I am fairly good at spelling and don't often make mistakes, firefox's spellchecker has saved me many times from posting nonsense typos and such.

And good news! I'm anxious to see how you got ngPlant working.

It was WI_lion.nif that I wanted the head removed from. But I have been having trouble with hosted fileplanet downloads. Perhaps if you could upload it to rapidshare?

Thanks for helping me out! :)

I have firefox but since Ive never dragged it onto my desktop I dont bother using it. Its not that I cant spell, its been one of those days where you stare at the screen til the letters blend in together.

Thanks, I hope to have Crimson Isle out by April. Well March if it goes good and May if ti doesnt. And with modding it seems it hardly ever does.

Already did and posted the link. I just ripped of the head and exported the head as a nif, so if you were looking for both the head and the body seperated Ill have to do it again...

Don't even get started with Rapidshare, it's terrible, use 2shared, 4shared or sharebee instead, just don't use Rapidshare, it svcks.

I can say that a million times and someone will still be using that silly site, seriously, you need to pay to upload stuff and have a reliable download/upload rate, it's terrible, everything on the web can and should be done freely, and reliably.

And just thought I'd say, since Argonia and Cyrodiil will end up "meshing", that we are still busy, working on tilesets and new models. Good to see you around more often lately zackg.

Yupyup. If you guys need any modelling work done I can take a shot at it. As far as unique Cyrodiil models, what do you guys already have done? Just curious.

Models? Really all we have done done the last time I had checked was some Wayshrines and stuff, we are mostly just retexturing/applying new textures to existing meshes.
