Argonia wip

Personally, textures are rare as models, models making is not hard, hard to make good texture for model.
Low-rez textures, dont show us all beauti of atmosphere.

I completely agree. There are plenty of brilliant and skilled modelers out there that make really bad textures, and vice versa for texturers.

I've always wanted to 3d model, but I had realized the above first, and had to develop texturing skills before I took the next step, to glory! :D

_____________

Nice work on your textures zackg. BTW: Did you try out Tree[d] yet?

No I havent, but the good news is I sson will. After finding out bout that program I showed you last night, testroi, Ive spent all day trying to create a heightmap to import in oblivion to convert into morrowind so I could be done with that step. So after I get that done then I focus on the next step, creating flora packs for the regions, which would mean testing out tree[d]. Can I ask a favor of you though? Do you have the Oblivion CS on your computer?

Or does anybody whos reading this have it?

I just need someone to import my heightmap and create a new worldspace with it, then save the esm/esp and give it back to me. For some reason my Oblivion crashes whenever I click on import.

Looking good, but too dark.

Good, because slave trading/raiding will most likely be the main issue surrounding the northern areas.

Good news! Im only a few days away from having the resource pack for Greenway Coast done, which means if there are any modders out there who'd like to do some exterior work so I can focus on getting other region based resource packs finished, let me know. Greenway Coast will feature the towns of Chasepoint and Stonewastes, and the city of Soulrest (All names excluding Soulrest are title-pending). Greenway Coasts landscape will include a grassland nearly submerged underwater, with short, thin based and wide topped trees dotting all around. Man-eating plants (literally) rest camouflouge with the grass, waiting for the unexpected traveler or animal to rest near it.

Lemme know if you are interested, depending on the amount of progress I get done tonight and tomorrow morning expect sample screenshots very soon.

I CAN still release the resource pack to anybody who is interested, but the tree models arent completed as Im completely overhauling them. However, Ill give out the unedited version and give you an updated version later.

Hey zackg, could you make an overhead map of the planned mod? I can't remember, are you planning to do the entirety of Argonia or just a northern section of it?

I remember Vality7 made a map, and so did Bethesda (but that was for the entirety of Tamriel), but your area might not be the same as their's. Did you already lay the ground work for the whole province?

Sure.
But what for?
Im...with the communitys help of course..will be doing the whole thing.
Starting with Southwest corner, then southeast corner
then center, northwest when Province:Cyrodiil and Argonia properly align borders, and northeast after that and finally the very very north to meet up with the south of Map 6 for Tamriel Rebuilt.

I might be interested in helping, zackg. Although it would have to wait until I get a few projects finished that I'm currently working on-most of which just consist of some rather tedious interior designing.

From all the screens the work you've done so far looks great, especially the textures.

As per your PM request the other day I have made those pages of compiled Black Marsh lore i made downloadable again. Everything I could find on Soulrest is located in the geography document, but other then the short Arena description there really isn't any other info on the place. From the little I could tell its a city with high walls and sturdy gates that block out the sounds of the nearby ocean. I think making Soulrest similar in appearance to this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/10126-1190333969.jpg would be pretty cool.

http://rapidshare.com/files/232925480/Black_Marsh_lore.zip.html

It can only be downloaded 10 times because I'm lazy, so I would like to ask others not to download it until zackg gets his hands on it. Someone else can put it up somewhere for a more permanent download though if they like.

cool project zackg, i made a venus fly plant creature thingy for TR, you wont be able to access it unless your a TR modder (unless they've already merged it to TR_Data), and you have to make sure to burden it so it stays still, but it's fine by me if you want to retexture it and use it in your project

also if you need any creatures making, send me a PM, this sounds like a project i could model for, (though i'm gonna finish improving TR's muskfly and seacrab first)
