Argonians have eggs, but they give live birth.

Both. In settled, safe communities in warm climates, e.g. what you'd find frequently in Black Marsh, they will often lay eggs as it's easier on the mother that way. In colder climates or for nomadic groups the mother will give live birth after the egg hatches internally, like sharks or rattlesnakes.

Damn, that would be creepy as hell to see beast children. Luckily, I seriously doubt they're in.

What?!
So they harbor a fleshy pod, which bursts with the live Argonian?
Is this what you're saying?

Humans have eggs and give live birth. Argonians give birth just like any mammal would.

Ovoviviparity. Oviparous = lays eggs, Viviparous = live birth connected to mother (mammals only, pretty much), Ovoviviparous = live birth, offspring is not connected to mother and instead has a yolk sack (many sharks, some snakes, most scorpions).

It'd be kinda neat to see a little Khajiit kitten running around. I'd have to curb-stomp anyone that tried to harm it mind you, but it'd be worth it. As for the lizard kids... Less of a cute factor but I suppose it'd be cool to see one scamper up the side of a building or somethin'.

There's an idle dialog you may hear from Argonians in Oblivion: "Oviparous. Ovovivparous. What's the difference? We are born and we die." :)

No...

Sperm meets the egg, which in turn begins metabolizing. The cell eventually divides multiple times until the embryo is formed. There is continuous growth of that embryo until it matures into a child and comes forth.

There is no "hatching" here.

You do not need to hatch from an egg! An egg by definition is a female gamete.

Why have beast children, when you could RANDOMLY (50/50) for either race...marrige better have some kind of quest or real purpose, because if it doesnt then that makes my trek back home from a day of slaughtering dragons so boring

Well, it would just be like looking at the spawn of a demon or something. Elves - I can deal with it. But the beast races? I'd imagine they'd look like Komodo Dragons walking on 2 legs. Straight up weird. As for Khajiit, I don't really know, but that would look pretty weird too.
