An Argonian Dragonborn

Post » Tue Sep 08, 2015 7:44 am

Heya!

I've started a new RP for Skyrim. An Argonian obviously. Though they never appealed to me. I had the same with the khajit, but one of my khajit chars ended up being one of my best roleplays. I have the feeling this char will be an amazing roleplay.

Anyways, back to the point: Is it possible for an Argonian to be DB? I've done a good amount of research (though there wasn't much), and it's starting to look like that Argonians are the Hist. Literally the Hist's soul. Is it true that they incarnate? And how would a dragon soul fit in the picture? Help me? xD

Thanks in advance! :D

I'm pretty sure Argonian souls fill black soul gems, so I wouldn't see why they are different enough from any other race to be unable to be Dragonborn.

The same as a Saxhleel might be Nerevarine or The Champion-of-Cyrodiil.

I didn't know Daedra were capable of becoming DB. That kind of sums up to the same? The Hist are alien entities if IIRC. So if the Hist are alien, then the Argonians must be too? Or am I confused? xD Please elaborate your comments. I actually want to know the true nature of the hist and argonians and the souls they share. Why would Akatosh bless an alien tree?

Where did you get the idea that Daedra can become DB? Anyway the Argonians are a mortal race and can be DB. Being Dragonborn is a gift from Akatosh and he can bestow it on anyone. You don't have to be human or mer to be DB. Anyone can be DB.:)

Hehe, sorry my previous post was a bit vague :D I compared Argonians to Dremora.
The Hist are alien entities that came from a different plane of Oblivion, right? That makes Agonians aliens too I guess. My question was, why would Akatosh bless an alien race? A race that originates from another plane.

There is a source describing the reincarnation of Argonians too. If that's true, wouldn't the SaxHleel have a lot in familiar with dremora? Instead of being revived in the waters of Oblivion, the Argonians' souls return to the trees.
And if Akatosh blessed an Argonian, that should mean that a Hist/the Hist has a dragon's soul. And because it is the TES universe: Once a DB, always a DB?

So the hist could infinitely spawn DB's that way, right? Endlessly reincarnating the dragon soul it has. Always ready to defeat Alduin.
But wouldn't that result in breaking the lore?

Okay I'll let someone else answer your questions. Since I'm not well versed in Argonian and Hist lore. I never knew the Argonians and the Hist are bound, I always thought of them as separate entities. But like I said I'll let someone well versed in their lore come and answer.

In TESO, where the connection to the Hist is in the forefront of the Black Marsh questline, you can run into at least one Argonian that has not been connected to the Hist. He has a few personality traits considered abnormal for Argonians and was sent to Black Marsh to get connected. So, while connected to the Hist and this connection being important to their people's survivial, not all Agonians are. Shouldn't be a problem for any lore implications to have an Argonian Dragonborn that way, at least. Unsure of how reincarnation would work with a dragon soul and the Hist.

No way could an Argonian ever be The Last Dragonborn. They're so lesser and dumb I doubt they could even learn basic math let alone save the world.
