I've tried looking this up before, but I've never found a satisfying answer.

What is Argonian religion? I know alot of Argonians worship Sithis, but I've always thought that was a mostly Shadowscale thing.

And UESP says they either worship the hist or simply revere it. Argonians are my favorite race, so this has always bothered me.
I would like to know for sure.

The Hist aren't like other people's gods.

They're more a fact of life than an external force to be worshiped or revered.

They're just there. Always. Their voices are always in the Argonians' minds.
