Argonian Resources: (WIP)

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 12:30 pm

So I am currently undergoing an Argonian Resource collection. The first model is will be a Statue of an Argonian piercing a Dunmer slaver with a spear. [this particular model was meant for my Black Moss mod].

It will be a statue/Fountain combination, something unique. Because, where the spear's blade pierces the Slaver, There will be a fountain of water flowing out, dyed in a red-tint.

It was meant to represent the Argonian slaves freedom from slavers in my Black-Moss mod. That is why it is as such.

Future resources will be most likely: furniture, Architecture, clutter, armor, clothes, and weapons.

[The statue/fountain is already in progress and a lot of it has been completed].

As for everyone else, if anyone would, out of their free time, like to contribute or throw together some Argonian Resources of there own, and compile everything, feel free too.

Argonians need more love people, help me bring it about!!

Here is a collection of Screens for a Statue i'm Working on: Whether this statue will be released is Not up to me. There are a few I need permission from, due to some technicalities. However, If I get such permission, it'll be released. As of now it's personal.

Here is the updated Statue; This version adds the Dunmer slaver. The model has a lot of work to go. Yet, I have gotten the basics of everything. All I need to do really, Is fix some things up, reduce the poly-count, [I think the poly count would be equivalent to a detailed Skyrim Model].

Here is a little explanation; Understand that While I did model many of this, the form of modeling was re-sizing and reshaping existing models: So most of the work was deleting, reforming, re-sizing, reshaping, and molding to fit the stances. The Original models originated from either Vanilla Morrowind or Player-made resources. Some of which I may need permission to release this. however, As I definitely don't want all the credit, specially to some of the Armor designs [such as the Argonian's armor] I'd like to at least say that I modeled and tweaked existing stuff to my liking to fit with the design. Of Course, many of these Argonian Resources will have been modeled by scratch all by me. Which, there are already some others in progress. [I will reveal the other works at a later date, for now, this is a teaser to its beginning].

Lol you mean Black Marsh? xD And Yes, Argonian and Black Marsh stuff is indeed awesome!

[Too all] A lot of my Argonian work will have a Aztec/Tribal theme to it, seeing that's how I imagine their culture!

Well I wish you luck. Lots and lots of it. :bunny:

I am going to make this much easier, on both the memory of it and the texturing; I figure, if I duplicate, delete parts, and repeat, it will make the entire thing into multiple objects allowing multiple textures, making texturing, seam-wise much easier. That, and It would be less taxing on memory, seeing there won't be loads of vertices on one large object while instead it'll be medium-amount of vertices on multiple smaller-objects.

It'll be painstaking, and time-consuming to do that, but in my eyes, it seems a wiser choice.
