Forgive this topic, but something's been nagging at my mind and I don't see any appropriate existing threads at a glance to address the issue. I seem to recall reading a bit of lore somewhere that postulated that Argonians were originally human tribes of the Black Marsh that were altered by the Hist to suit their environment but everything I search comes up empty. Is there a scrap of lore that says this or am I remembering something that never existed?

You may be thinking of the tribe of humans living in BM, but they ended up dead, due to a plague that affected everyone, save argonians and those similar.
