Argonians of Skyrim 101: Discussion of all things Saxhleel!

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 6:37 am

I like the Skyrim Argonian design, but where did the feathers come from? I mean, I like it, its just that I don't remember them ever having feathers...

Modern birds are descended from Argonians. Haven't you ever seen Jurassic Park?

That, but also they are tribals. Not to sound stereotypical, but most tribes have what? Feathers

I always liked Argonians. But I rarely played them in Morrowind. It was just hard to do so, they just looked so damn weird to me. But these Skyrim Argonians. Hell.. Yes.

Also we've traded in our fins for feathers? Are we evolving into birds or something? Horned, scaly, birds? With sharp teeth?

In the Elder Scrolls 6 we lose our ability to breath underwater in exchange for the ability to fly?

I don't like the head spikes or fins. My Argonian will have a plain, smooth head.

My Argonian in Oblivion was female. A Shaman / Druid type (supported by mods).
I would like to do something similar in Skyrim.

Every TES game I've played, my first character has always been Argonian

My oblivion Argonian: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/998/topless2xb.jpg

I don't think that tradition will change any time soon.

I've never been a fan of Argonians, or either beast race really.

They do look good... well not good but.... nicely done this time around like the other races. I'm still probably not going to play one.

Definitely going to be my first character. I hope they have the "Spines" hairdo from Oblivion, I love that one. I was going the play an argonian first either way and when I saw the screens I was like OMGWTFBBQ.

loved argonians long before skyrim but now im prouder than ever to say i like argonians they look like absolute badasses now in my opinion all they ever need to do with argonians now for future games is improve the textures to match the game they will be in they seriously are perfect now.

To show my dedication to Argonians I made my avatar one
<---- Here it is

I might even try editing its colours and background.
Oh wow you have the same Argonian avatar as me! Same Argonian avatarness aside I wonder if its just spikes and horns the Argonian can get on his head, hopefully you can get a dorsal ridge on your head like the one from Oblivion.

For some reason the idea of an argonian werewolf just seems ... wrong. A wereiquana, perhaps. Even a werefear. But a werewolf?

I did have a photoshoped version of this picture with a different background, golden-green skin and a different coloured top, but it would appear I've lost the image :(

I LOVEd them, but one thing i hated on the screenshots of both the khajjit and argonians is the lack of variation betwen the faces, is pretty much the same face with diferent spikes and feathers and colors.

You should add an "I like them much more now, but don't love them" answer to the Were you ever a fan or did Skyrim's Argonians win you over? question.

heres an idea i had since bloodmoon racial differentiation between werewolves il give you what i think an argonian werewolf should look like a mangy pelt with some patches of scales and the tail would most likely be bare and scaly and the head would most likely still have some sort of horns on it and the eyes would have verticle pupils and would have a yellowish green corona and within the mouth i could imagine there being snake like fangs sounds terrifying huh :P
