[Beta-Relz] Arktwend TC translated to English

@domfather

I have that texture in my Meshes folder. Are there any more? Like zing_common 1 thru 5, zing_expensive 1 thru 5, exquisite and extravagant? I think it's that the nif wants a dds and they are all tga files.

So if you could list them all it would help and I'll make a patch for it.

that is the exact error messages that it desplayd when trying to enter the building so i asume that is all the files listed

I just added the esp patch with it, it is the same as the other one. So not needed for this but if it is the right texture your missing then I'll make it the patch.

So just place the texture in your textures folder.

Thank you once more for your kind support. I am truly enjoying myself with Arktwend. The Nordic atmosphere and landscape is really stimulating my senses. Kudos to SureAI and to yourself!

I'm still very early in the game, on my way to Stormwend I ended up in Ion Monastery and decided to stick around and take the opportunity to level up a little. I'm already level 7 but I'm stuck in some of those quests.

After completing some tasks he told me I can use the Hut behind the garden but he lost the key. I can't find it and I really need it because I already have some valuables and my gear is heavy and I can't do much without being able to store some of it.

He wants me to investigate the Old Ruins up there in Big Mountain since he senses an evil aura or something coming from up there and he can't sleep well. I went there and I had hell of a fight with literally hordes of skeletons, goblins, and two powerful Battle mages or Evil Wizards. I die countless times but in the end, Klaus succeeded and ended up with pretty darn good weapons!
My problem is that I'm pretty sure after the bloodbath those ruins are clean but the journal does not register anything. I went down the Monastery a couple of times and Brother Conchulio does not seem to recognize it either. What's the trigger here?
I ventured a little further in the Mountains where there are some hanging bridges and ended up fighting those terrible Harpie monsters (Epic fight!) but I think is too far away to be part of this Ruin quest.

Can you tell me what should I do?

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Try this patch just use the zing_common.01.nif, put it into Data Files\Mesches\c folder. Don't use anything else the rest you alredy have. The game engine is look for a missing file all we're doing is finding the right part that is missing.

I'll have to look again but it seems like the path you take is around where you kill a couple of Goblins in a pit, from there go the opposite way you have been going. It looks like there is nothing down that way but that is where he is.

this is bizare.i extracted the zing_common.01.nif to the mesh\c dir and it ses the file is allready there and asks if i want to replace it so i did..loaded up the game and tryd going in the building again..and yet the same error still comes up despite allready having the files that it insists arnt there to load...

thief guild quest straight after golias preivew quest im told to meet him at the blade tavern in the portdistrict at dusk.i tryd sleepin and wakin up at all the times but he dont seem to be waiting for me outside the tavern..um what am i doing wrong.is this needed for the mian quest?

arktwend Emaster v2.012.esm. i think thats the file u are refering to tell me if its not.

it ses in the journel to meet him at the blade and stars.there target is the sorcers building(the one were i was reseiving the errors)it dosent say what time .i tryd waiting at the splurging sturgeon aswell but he dont show up..i had to meet him there in the previews quest though and got caught by a gard that never apeard.lol if i go back to the inn he is still there and all i can do is say goodbuy..i cant restart the quest for some resson.wierd

I'll have to look into it a little deeper. I was thinking of the other quest and I also changed names around. My error on thinking of the wrong one. I might not have had it totally fixed in that version. Not completing it should not block anything. It was a tricky one for me to script for what I wanted to happen and I still think all the options are not implimented. The spoiler will give you a little more rundown. If they do not happen then it is not fixed in v2.012.

That is definitly wrong. He should not be there with those lines. He should be mad at you for not showing up. So I would say it is broken in your version. I'll have to check it in v2.1014. Also will look again in v.012. I'm in a storm right now so have shut things down for awhile.

Hey Golden theif!

Its been a long time since i played morrowind but just done a fresh re-install of the game and i am looking forward to playing this again :D

Just wondering if you needed a hand with anything?

Also how is the voice acting going for the voice replacement (to get rid of the german speech)

Oh and is there a walkthrough yet?

I just ran through the quest. It works all the way through in my version of v2.012. It is possible to get the quest ahead of time . So you should wait till it is day light so you do not activate the timer with less night time to work with. When you do that he could have left before you arrived. So in the spoiler are the step for completing the quest.

I have no plans for voice for the English, all I can do is eliminate the German voice if that is what the players want.

A game stopping error at the Enderal Citadel was found as result of trying to take down barriers so you could go to every exterior and not be blocked because players where finding ways around the barriers. Which is not a bad thing. It became easier to disable items rather then adding more barriers.

So this patch should allow you to get through this event for the moment until I get the disabling figured out.

I've started playing Arktwend a couple of days ago. It's great, I'm loving every moment of it! :clap: Stormwend is great, I got lost wandering around there :hehe:

I noticed a few minor flaws in the translation, and couple of them look like things that have been overlooked. Are you still working on the translation, or reworking it? Need any help? :)
I speak both languages fluently. English is my mother tongue, and I learned German in Germany, been living there for eleven years. I'm better translating German to English than vice versa, since I can play around with the flow of the sentences better in English, of course.
Having said that, the things I noticed were minor and I didn't see many, but I thought I'd offer to help anyway, if it's needed. Could be fun :)

my security was only on 6.i upd it to 20 through an npc.but still the lock is to complex and iv run out of monny..any ideas??

Minimum Requirements for lock
Security 22 with Master Lockpick
Security 30 with Journeyman Lockpick
You do not need to do this quest to get the job from Black Eye, you only need to do one quest for Golia. So you can start this quest later. I should filter it for a higher security before being offered.

There are only 2? There are three there. Always has been. Yes, they do not like you because they know who you are. So there is no reason for them to help you. The one sitting down on the bench is the captain. He has a different dialogue. Try all the options to see what he wants.

this must be another glitch becuase there are only 2 of them.and there is no extra dialog from either of them..err is there a fix for this?like can i enter a comand in the consol or somthing to buypass this quest so i can continue with the game? this is my 4th restart on this mod beacuse of the consitent problems i have been having:(

I rechecked the scripts and everything. I can not fix what is not broken. Every time I have played the game they are there. The scripts in this area are the same scripts that have been running on them for the last 4 or 5 months. They are the same basic script that run on the majority of the NPCs in Stormwend. They sleep at night and appear in the day. I do not know how to fix a save game or what to do to make him appear for you.

I'm sorry but I'm at a loss as what to do. Maybe some one else can offer a suggestion as to what can be done. The only way I know to test if it is a corrupt save is to go to an earlier one and see if all three are there because they should be there from the moment you enter Stormwend they are not quest activiated.
