Terms and Conditions
1: Anyone who submit's a character sheet must follow the format above. At this point I do not want to know what he/she looks like. You will provide a description of your character at a certain point during the RP. When making your character note that the occupation and hobbies section will denote your skills. No more than three hobbies please. Upon acceptance, each character will receive a number from one to eight.. This will be explained in the RP itself. As I want only 8 contestants on the show, I will allow only 6 people to join this. My character takes up one spot and Francois Lachon has already been told the story and has reserved a spot. We will also be collaborating on this RP.
2: Please try to remember when creating you character that he/she is a contestant on a game show. As such your character is a normal person. I will allow creativity in your characters but as a rule, your character should have no combat training of any kind.(exceptions may be allowed as long as they fit into the theme of the RP) I kept thinking to myself that if someone was really ambitious, they could make a character of themselves. I will allow characters to have government ties as this could help in the RP later on. Character types I will not allow: characters with a military background, or criminals. The NNA has strict policies. I would also ask that we do not have multiples characters with the same occupations. As my character is bartender, no one else may be a bartender.
3. I am trying to create a more immersive feel than that of other RP's. You are a normal person in real life, not an android clone of Chuck Norris. Note: if you are an android clone of Chuck Norris, please seek psychiatric help immediately. You should play a normal person in this RP
4: If you are not familiar with the lore of the Fallout universe(yes I said lore, I prefer the word lore as opposed to canon), I recommend that you at least familiarize your self with the timeline as I will make occasional references to events throughout the course of the RP

No One Liners: If you are willing to play this RP, I would really like to see you put effort into it.
No killing other peep's characters: without their permission of course

If you join this I expect to see you posting. If you want out, let me know instead of just stopping without telling anyone. I have created a story for the players that is immersive and I would like the players to create their story for me. I want to be immersed in the details of your character. Most importantly it must be believable.
The Story
Now I have already said that I want the character to be immersed. Let me explain. The story I want to tell is the story of the characters. They will be the ones who decide how the story unfolds. At the moment there are two distinctly different stories for the characters to explore. Because what I am aiming for is a feeling of immersion, not only for the characters, but for the players and readers as well. I don't want to tell you what the stories are. Anybody that truly has to know more before submitting a character, I will say that one story involves slavers. It's really quite typical and you don't need to know anymore than that. You will know what is going on with this story early on in the RP. If you want to know more about the overall story, read this:

If that is still not enough send me a PM. I have three messages prepared for people who want more information. I was originally going to use spoiler tags, but if it was me, I would read them all. Each message gives away more of the story, this also helps me to determine how much the characters know. As I said you will be shaping the world before you. That doesn't mean I won't give cues. I have a real story here and at times things will happen that you have no control over. If you are stuck on how to proceed in certain situations I want you to know. When a situation seems hopeless, pay attention to your surroundings I will tend to provide you with ways to escape a situation you are in. The more your character develops the less I will do this as it will become easier to escape from the situations you are in as your skills increase. I will provide you with different characters and places to interact with. Some of the people you meet you will be allowed to control, others you will not. I will let you know when there are people that you cannot control. I will sometimes set scenes in the form of a Narrator post instead of through the thoughts of my character, who may not always be with you. The main story here is based around the fifties and sixties sci-fi genre, which seems to be prevalent in Fallout 3. Note: There are no Aliens here!! I am trying to bring something a little different to this section of the forums. As I said earlier, I have shared my story with Francois Lachon, and he has agreed to play this and thinks that the concept of immersion is a great idea. I did have to share the story with someone, and I value his opinion as I know a lot of the forum members her do. That being said I hope to receive no messages asking for details and see the characters being posted.
Other Terms
Regarding weapons and armour
Weapons and armour will be limited to those in the Fallout 3 universe. This is due to the fact that I really don't know much about real world weapons. The exception to this rule will be weapons like spears, bows, or anything else you can actually make yourself (yes I know it's not easy to make a bow, but your character might try). I will also allow any type of clothing not found in the game. I.E. jeans, t-shirts, jewellery, etc.
I will assume if your still reading at this point, you are at the very least intrigued by this idea.
Please only post if you are serious about this. This will require effort from everyone involved if it is going to be successful.
Final Note: I have taken a little bit of artistic license with some of the things in the Fallout universe, and will make reference to events in the game often. While I am no, insert name of your favourite author here, I am confident that this will be an enjoyable experience for all involved.
P.S. Just so you know, one of the contestants, not mine, is going to receive a gift of sorts, depending on how he or she plays their character.
