[REQ] armbands to identify settlers

Can someone extract a model and texture for some visible armbands (or armthing) that sit where the Pipboy sits? It'd be nice to add a bunch of them as items that you can craft and equip on Settlers to quickly identify what their jobs are.

I have no experience with extracting these models and textures and making them equippable items in-game (a la the Shoulder Bags and Backpacks that are all the rage), but I can help make them craftable and scrappable after the fact.

I just give them different hats. Helmets for defense, baseball caps for farming, bowlers for shop keepers, etc..

Yeah, I'm doing that right now.

A side-effect of this is they all look the same. Occasionally, they look stupid. Rag hat + raider armor like wat, your momma dress you? Wait, I dressed you? Damn.

My settlements feel like refugee camps for Fashion Victims in a Clone War. I keep looking for a better solution. Currently working on remixing the Shoulder Bags with some custom textures so I can give each settler a different bag based on their job. Better than hats. Not as good as armbands.

Surely someone will implement a "Name that Settler" mod!?

If you can name a weapon or piece of armor when you go into a special window, why not a settler?

A temporary workaround for this is to give settlers a gun that's named after their task. If they work the corn patch, give them a gun named 'corn patch.' If they run the supply line from Sanctuary to Red Rocket, give them a gun named 'Sanc>RR'. This is at best a hokey workaround for something that should have been implemented into the game already. The only way of telling what task a settler is assigned to is to highlight them and see what else gets highlighted within the settlement. This is useless though unless they happen to be within visual range of their assigned tasks. At the very least, there should be a way to quickly identify whether or not they're even assigned to a task in the first place.
