Armor Bias?

I can't help but notice that I am very armor bias in this game. I've played TES I through V, but this is the first one where I cared if my Nord was wearing elven armor, or my Orc wear Forsworn, etc. I recall in the prior games my characters wore whatever was best at the moment. In MW my Dunmer had no problem switching from Bonemold to Orcish and my Nords no problem wearing glass.

I suppose it may be because prior to Skyrim you didn't have a lot of choice. Smithing now makes everything useful so you can customize more.

Anyone else have some armor bias in this game? For example I've yet to have a Nord wear Elven armor (other than my first character, who didn't know any better).

Yes. I don't wear anything elven. And never will. Although I never did, but I dont wear the dawnguard armor either (outside the quest) because it doesn't look nordy. Same for ebony armor, except the weapons swirls. Although it may be nordic for all I know. I have no idea whose style its supposed to be, but its not Nord enough for me. Draugr use them, but I dont think thats lore friendly.

Sometimes, the armor just doesn't fit the character.

No. Before modding, I used whatever was best.

I remember the old days when people would brag to others about Daedric.
