I should have put racism within " ". And no, it's not people that are cutting their wrists and crying about their life. Anyone can do that. But now it has happened so that these immature [censored]s have chosen to dress the way they do and therefore gives all the alternative styles a bad reputation. I know people who dress "emo" who does not cry about their life. And I know people who do cry about their life and cut their wrists who do not dress "emo".

Yeah, I've been called emo by people who are totally distanced from alternative culture...I kinda find it offensive and rather ignorant.

no i don't think you did...since you mentioned Bittercup

but oldschool punk is somewhat already in it, atleast in the old ones

no i think you got me wrong there

and you have to remember goth and punk was the same thing at one point in time
goth is a off shoot from british punk music
that where goth came from

so when i said i mean punk too i mean,t punk too

but oldschool punk not really in it as the raiders are more a copy from mad max films
than a ref to oldschool punk
cos when you say post apocalyptic people will think mad max
so most of the refs to oldschool punk are more really a ref to the mad max films
but i can see how it does look like that

well I was just talking about the look of them, and i did say somewhat, not totally.
and goth may have shot off from punk, but it's still not the same thing, and they definitely don't look the same.
in any case 'emo' still has no place in Fallout.

i wonder why goth and emo did get so much stick

I know i will ask for a spider man outfit maybe that will fix things

But any way i like fallout (the post apocalyptic part)
but you got all this mad max stuff running around but trying to keep it in a 1950s theme and does not work or fit together
so who going miss something else that does not fit

well, if that's what you want then mods it will have to be...and those things in the game that aren't typically 50's still fit the setting. Why would Developers put emo clothing in throughout the map...it's just a niche modern trend, and if they do that, they may aswell start putting in clothing and hair styles from every subculture and fashion trend. It just shouldn't happen.

edit: I don't think you bear much distinction between emo's and others like punk or goth

Perhaps, but my point still stands. Modern fashion trends did exist in the Fallout world, Fallout 1/2 made this quite evident. It was Fallout 3 that did the whole 50s pre-war clothes thing, so I don't think a fashion trend needs to be from the 50s to fit in the Fallout world.

I'm not saying emo and goth stuff should be present in a Fallout game; just that they could have existed in the Fallout world before the war. That, and I'd like to see the more modern clothes of Fallout 1/2 return.

Well yeah, they may have existed, but Fallout 1/2 just had more modern stuff that fit the setting(such as the leather wearing mohawk punks) or was fairly generic, not something that really just represented a fashion trend(e.g. emo)...my memory isn't that great so if you can give me some specific examples that go against that please do so. I probably should have put more explanation behind what I was saying with that initial statement.

I actually much prefer what they did in Fallout 1/2, I found the whole 50's thing too much in F3, and in the first games I never saw the 50's thing as much more than a slightly humorous contrast to the harsh post-apocalyptic setting, which was mainly shown in the intro movie....but aside from that, apart from a few things, i barely had a sense of the 50's while playing it.

If a lot of us console players did, would we be as gung ho about it?
Though~For me it's simply because I prefer a controller and my couch rather than sitting front of my computer which I spend way too much time in front of anyway.

actually in this day and age yes, most people would have good enough computers if they can afford to own a console, and they would just be like you who prefer playing on a console. Though in darkzentai's case it was probably more obvious they couldn't, but i still had to ask.

Granted my last two computers were so bad I had to reinstall the OS five times in 2009 alone. I have a newer computer now that will probably get the job done, but I still prefer the coziness of my couch as opposed to that godawful office chair I got in front of my office settup.

Sorry, but FO1 and FO2 did not make anything "evident", never mind you could barely notice any detail in the NPCs. Most of the clothing in FO3 is based on clothes in FO1 and FO2.

If you can barely notice any detail in the NPCs then how could you possibly know that most of the clothing in Fallout 3 is based on the clothes from Fallout 1/2?

I didn't mean emo as in the clothing, but emo people.

Anyway, enough emo/goth talk. this is a Armor/Clothing thread, lets keep it that way.

There was another thread about the Chinese Stealth Armor that got locked so I'll just bring it up in here: I frickin' demand that we get another one. Put it in Hoover Dam, Area 51, the middle of the atomic testing site, wherever. I want it.

Chicken suit was for fun, not as a serious outfit, more of an Easter egg, spider man outfit would work ;)

I know , because it is... that DETAIL wasn't really well defined due to the graphics is one thing, but not only can you see the resemblance, and the names are practically the same: leather armor, power armor, metal armor, tesla armor, T-51b armor, etc..

Here, take a look:
