Armor for Spellcaster

Post » Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:03 pm

My "Main" has just hit 90 hours and is level 63, most of that was spent in a rogueish playstyle. I've reset Smithing and Sneak once and they're already back up to admirable levels (Smithing is 100 again, might reset it soon... After I do what I'm about to do).

I've already begun changing my usual playstyle. My thief is now a daedric-wielding tank and her Heavy Armor and Two-Handed are wrecking shop even with a minimal amount of perks in them (I play on Adept).

My next stop? Do some spellcasting. I plan on putting percentage cost on every piece possible because most of her build is in stamina and health, I've only just gotten to begin adding magicka.
I've also beaten the College already so she's got a few pieces of gear from there (Might utilize the 70 mana circlet).

My question is, which armor would look the best for a battle-mage type?
And you can suggest anything, even heavy armor. Light Armor is fully perked up but my thief-girl survives well enough wearing anything at the moment.

Steel Plate looks good. Heavy Dawnguard armor also seems to fit.

Steel Plate looks a tad simple, to me.

I'll fish up some of that Dawnguard armor and see how it looks on her.
