Anyoone else having trouble obtaining faction armor for the faction you are allied with?

For my NCR character I had no problems getting high level CL armor because I was always fighting them, but when it came to getting ranger armor I NEVER got it because the only way is to kill an NCR ranger. As my CL character I have gotten a number of ranger armors but I'm still running around in my recruit armor I stole from someone's foot locker.

Is there a way to get faction armor peacefully?

Faction armor is for members of the faction, soldiers on duty and such, not their friends. No, they do not gift it to you. Outside of the Brotherhood, anyway, but that armor they gift doesn't function as faction armor.

could try ncr emergency radio rangers? idk i've never tried that but worth a shot. perhaps one of them might die

Oh come on bro, you know everyone wanted to wear the L33T ranger armor since the day it showed up in trailers. It's just frustrating trying to be a good NCR friend but having to kill a ranger to get his armor. I know it may "seem" more logical the way it is now but we all know that people want these things somehow.

It ought to be like the 100 steel ingots quest in The Pitt. Once that was completed you got tribal power armor (which was sick).
Each faction in F:NV should have a challenge that rewards you with their gear.
