Armor Suggestions Favorite armor?

Greetings Folks,

As I have stated in other posts... due to most of the looks on armor sets, I ended up just trotting my sneak character in power armor. To see the difference in stealth, I have switched to a heavy variant on the combat armor. I have noticed a pretty big gap in detection. It could be pitch black out and they would still find me in the power armor, and now they usually only see me in the daytime with increased distances. However, I really don't like the look of the armor, especially with my newspaper hat. I am think I should forgo armor and just do the ballistic weave mod on maybe a tux or something cool. I wonder if it would increase my stealth even more greatly. Unfortunately I miss jump jets to get over the little obstacles and I don't know if I like to completely forgo armor. In addition, my companions seem to love messing up stealth no matter what. Thoughts?

What are your favorite armor types? I feel like Bethesda really messed up with the armor design in this series. I mean the Talos armor in FO3 and NCR armor in NV were awesome.

Sneak is effected by weight of the stuff you wear. This is the "Sound" you make, heavier cloths make more sound.

Power armor is Heavy, so it does not benefit sneaking.

Ballistic weave clothing is light, so it is easier to sneak in.

If you are wearing armor in your power armor you don't receive the defense benefits, but the weight still applies to sneaking. Always be nvde when sneaking in power armor for the best chances

Generals Uniform plus Ballistic Weave Battered Fedora.

Do not care for Power Armour at all because it limits my vision.

I do understand the stealth mechanic, coming from playing pretty much all of Bethesda's games, besides Morrowind. But in really, stealth in power armor isn't that bad. In reality, I think majority of the time, my companions give me away more than my inability for stealth. I am going to try to put muffle on my legs to see how that works. I suppose I am more disappointed with the armor in general. Even the weird choices for ballistic weave leaves something to be desired. I just wondered what everyone else is rocking FO4 in. I wonder how much of a difference Heavy variant of Combat Armor is than the light. How much "shadow" mod really helps. And if it is worthwhile to build "ultra-light" rather than deep pockets

Ultra light gives less carry advantage than deep pockets, but has better sneak advantage.

Heavy is superior to sturdy, which is superior to light, in terms of protection, this bonus is amplified by upgrades, which scale the base value.

Shadow is slightly better, but only in darkness, the ultra light mod provides a similar advantage on the heavier armors all the time.

for me it's a military dress with MK5 weave, on top combat armor (light, i only need the pieces for the legendary effects) with ultralight/shadow mods. 5 pieces VATS enhanced, one with AP regeneration.

gives me 10 shots in vats with the guardian fully sniper modded. you don't even need a sidearm, it's insane.

sneak/sniper/vats build of course.
