Armor...

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:16 pm

I think it would be nice to have simplified version of armor for example

Gloves instead of left arm

Shoulders instead of right arm

Pants instead of left leg

Boots instead of right leg

And bonuses associated with specific parts for example boots - quicker speed, decreased fall damage, then gloves better lockpicking, better hip dmg etc.

Nothing major but we played trough so many games in the past so that it seems a standard, but if you guys tried something new, thats fine. Its your game. Just sayin...

What really annoys me regarding armors is the outfits that cant be modded, like the drifter or kellogg's. I want to use them, but I want to play with armor modding so I end up sticking with the vault suit.

I do wish you could mod every armor in the game and put layered armor system on them. Would have made for a few awesome outfits. But all in all i do enjoy the new system alot more than previous games.

It's really annoying that the only moddable under-armour (at least that I've found so far) is Vault Suits. Why can't I modify Road Leathers or Military Fatigues?

no, it's not. There is a leather-road dress that is fit for layered armor

Fit yes, but can it be upgraded on the workbench? Vault suits can be upgraded and then have layered armor on top of them. Road leathers is just clothing with a minor armor boost.

Some outfits, other than Vault Suit, are armor compatible, but others are not. I've still to figure out the logic behind that, but I'm guessing some are flagged as armor (and thus can't add armor to armor) and some are flagged as clothing (and then you can add armor on top).

I usually go with Army Fatigues or Minutemen outfit as they provide nice stat bonuses, and then armor on top.

Can't wait for mods =(

I was hoping the Minutemen General's outfit would be moddable...unfortunately not (as far as I can see anyway).
