Armor type features

What do you think the different features and styles for each armor will be. Like will imperial look roman, and will Orc look Japanese again like in morrowind. Also what will the armor's features be? What do you think

I think they all will try to look the same as the earlier Elder Scrolls but have a different type of look to it to keep the armor fresh.

The http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/11/apr/skyrim/sky4big.jpg shows a big honkin spike on his shoulder. And the http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/11/apr/skyrim/sky6big.jpg shows him in armor with swirly symbols that remind me of the walls in the http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/DraugrGroup_wLegal.jpg.

That armor the Khajiit is wearing does look kinda nordic. BTW, that's a reallly cool looking piece of armor. Probably its Iron; Todd said they like the basic equipment to look local, as if made in the province, while more exotic stuff looks made elsewhere.

Also, anyone noticed the Khajiit's fur overflows and sticks out the sections of the pauldron? Do you guys think that is the Khajiit's fur, or is it part of the armor? Looks darker than the rest of his fur.

I think that the armor will look excitingly chunky and spikey, but that its features will be, just as in Oblivion, a bland and rigid progression in which each piece weighs exactly X more than the previous one and has exactly Y more health and exactly Z more armor rating.

To do anything more than that would require some additional effort to keep it balanced, and it's clear that Beth isn't interested in investing that sort of work on this title. And in that matter, I guess we should be glad that armor appears to be in the game at all, since they could just as well have said that it was too "spreadsheety" and eliminated it entirely.

Woop - it must be time to take a break from this forum. It's really starting to get me down....

I'm hoping for a reasonable amount of diversity in armor types. Also, I really want to see pauldrons return. I initially thought with some of the asymmetrical/separate appearance of cuirass and pauldrons as seen on the generic hero that they had a chance, but the new khajiit screen seems to have the cuirass and pauldrons attached by ringlets. Let's just hope we can make the armor more customized by wearing different clothes under/over it (if that's in).

gpstr, you are, frankly, speaking cattle-defecation. You dont even know what sort of "balancing" you are even talking about. Stop pretending you know math, or that you know how to balance variables in a computer game. You dont fool anybody. And the spreadsheety comment is so ridiculous. You clearly have no grasp of what the word redundant means. When something is redundant, it means you can eliminate it AND GET THE SAME EXACT RESULT.

ThePudie, I was not saying it was clipping. I meant that it looks realistic, if that is his fur, since it gives the appearance that the armor has settled comfortably on his furry body, his hair looking like it comes out of every avalilable nook. So it looks awesome.
